Bennu is a hybrid: the material does not clearly match either the inner solar system or the outer one. Schönbächler describes that intermediate composition summarizing the finding without turning it into a closed geographical label, because "Bennu is a hybrid: the material does not clearly match either the inner solar system or the outer one." #Bennu #Júpiter #formacionplanetaria (translated)

A study of the isotopic composition of grains from the asteroid Bennu reveals that its formation was influenced by Jupiter, displacing its origin toward the snow line of the young solar system and suggesting the role of the gas giant in the separation of materials from the protoplanetary disk.
