In recent years, the number of gambling addicts in Estonia has increased, and currently, restrictions have been imposed on nearly 21,000 people, which is why the Ministry of Finance plans to review the conditions for the drafting of the Gambling Act and the restriction list in order to better protect the interests of players and to allow, for example, family members to initiate the addition of individuals to the list.
