W 🇵🇱 powstanie radar (odbiornik) o polu antenowym wielkości połowy boiska piłkarskiego, a dokładniej o wymiarach 50x50 m, składający się z 4000 anten. Ma to być rezultat projektu #BiRaKos, którego celem jest opracowanie bistatycznego radaru bardzo dalekiego zasięgu do monitorowania obiektów w przestrzeni kosmicznej. Odbiornik (Rx) zostanie zbudowany przy lotnisku w Przasnyszu. W ramach projektu zostanie zaprojektowany i wykonany również nadajnik (Tx) składający z kilku anten, umieszczonych na obrotnicy umożliwiającej skierowanie szyku antenowego w zadanym kierunku w przestrzeni kosmicznej. System przeznaczony będzie do obserwacji i śledzenia obiektów na niskiej orbicie okołoziemskiej (LEO, 200-2000 km) i ma umożliwić precyzyjne monitorowanie satelitów, komponentów rakietowych i śmieci kosmicznych. Umowę w tej sprawie @NCBR_pl podpisało 18 czerwca 2025 roku z Konsorcjum w składzie: 📌Politechnika Warszawska 📌Centrum Badań Kosmicznych Polskiej Akademii Nauk 📌PIT-RADWAR S.A. 📌SpaceForest Sp. z o. o. 📌XY-Sensing Sp. z o.o. Termin zakończenia prac planowany jest na 1 sierpnia 2028 roku. Rezultatem projektu ma być demonstrator technologii na VI poziomie gotowości technologicznej.
