CYRES reported that Maya, 24, had worked two jobs to buy her grandfather hearing aids that cost $4,800. According to her account, her grandfather had been losing his hearing for ten years and had stopped speaking during family dinners; when he received the hearing aids on his birthday in March, he stood still and then cried. In November, for Maya's birthday, he gave her a scarf with uneven stitches and a hole. She thanked him, but later told her roommate that she was disappointed and never wore it. During the winter, she used another one bought from a store, while her grandfather, according to CYRES, would often look at her neck when she went to visit him. The account added that in January, after arguing, Maya reproached him for not having bought her something. Her grandfather replied that the hole in the scarf was intentional and asked her to look at it. #Familia #Amor #Regalos (translated)
