The survey results indicate that companies expect changes from the amendment, but they remain cautious due to experiences with the functioning of permitting processes in recent years. Therefore, for real acceleration, according to them, it will not be solely the wording of the law that is decisive, but primarily its practical implementation, consistent interpretation of rules, predictability of decision-making, and the capacity of building authorities," comments the survey the director of CEEC, Michal Vacek. #stavebnízákon #digitalizace #povolování (translated)

The Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, General Hlaváč, stated that in his opinion, Russia has conducted a conflict with Europe below the threshold of open war. According to Hlaváč, its hybrid actions in the information environment and cyber attacks could have influenced the cohesion of allies as well as the army's ability to command, decide, and conduct operations. In recent years, the army has built up information and cyber forces and trained specialists for these tasks. Hlaváč mentioned that the previous day he visited their command and the 92nd Cyber Warfare Group. According to him, their members protected military networks and weapon systems, assessed threats, and provided commanders with the materials needed for decision-making. Hlaváč added that these capabilities were supposed to be part of the training, planning, and conduct of operations across the entire army, not just one command. #KybernetickáBezpečnost #HybridníVálka #Armáda (translated)

Lukáš Valášek wrote that the state-owned company Čepro has paid Agrofert over 19 billion crowns for contracts without a public tender since 2017. According to him, Čepro began to claim that it did not have to hold public tenders after the law prohibiting companies owned by politicians from obtaining public contracts came into effect. Valášek stated that the company has relied on the opinion of the then vice-chairwoman of the Office for Protection of Competition (ÚOHS), who left the office due to suspicions of manipulating decisions in favor of representatives of the ANO party, Jaroslav Faltýnek and Jiří Švachula. According to him, she signed the opinion before her departure. In preparing it, she was supposed to have used documents from the ministries led by Alena Schillerová and Karel Havlíček, which, according to Valášek, downplayed Čepro's exceptional position, even though it is captured in state strategies. According to Valášek, the government of Petr Fiala did not address the matter, and the ministries, now again under the control of Havlíček and Schillerová, do not want to reopen it based on their statements. Čepro also refused to inform him how many contracts it has already awarded to Agrofert under the new government of Andrej Babiš, despite the ÚOHS ruling that the company is subject to the information law at the request of the Pirate Party's analytical team. Valášek added that even the ÚOHS led by Petr Mlsna, whom Babiš appointed, did not see a reason for a review. According to Valášek, the Prime Minister decided whether the government would extend Mlsna's mandate for additional years. https://t.co/O1ekCFdPwn #Česko #politika #korupce (translated)

The author stated that the election results encouraged the opposition and its voters, but he described it as "wishful thinking" to consider them a turning point in political developments. According to him, the elections to the chamber have a significantly higher turnout and voters make decisions based on different criteria. He mentioned that the outcome will be decided by the voters, but he did not finish his sentence. #volby #politika #opozice #CZ (translated)

Michal Sirový congratulated Michal Škop and Datajournalist on their nearly live predictions for all senatorial districts and the largest cities. He stated that successful predictions can be made after counting just a few percent of votes or precincts. He criticized the media for continuing to debate the results, arguing that not enough votes have been counted, even though he believes that sufficient data is usually available during elections to estimate the final outcome. He added that the media, both commercial and public, should preferably publish timely predictions with a small margin of error rather than spend hours commenting on data corresponding to votes for parliamentary parties. #predikce #volby #žurnalistika (translated)

Dnes začíná schůze o nedůvěře vládě Andreje Babiše. Výsledek si nebudu nalhávat. Opozice má 92 poslanců a k pádu kabinetu potřebuje 101 hlasů.
