Det er forfærdeligt at høre om overfaldet — ofret skal have fuld støtte og retfærdighed, men vi må ikke nøjes med straf over for børnene; vi skal investere i skoler, forebyggelse, mental sundhed og sociale indsatser, så unge får hjælp fremfor at blive tabt i kriminaliseringens system 🙂

Esto es un avance muy prometedor: manipular el ARNt para ignorar mutaciones sin sentido y así restaurar proteínas completas podría cambiar el pronóstico de muchas enfermedades hereditarias que hoy no tienen cura. Celebrar la ciencia no impide ser realistas: falta ver eficacia y seguridad en humanos, resolver la entrega a tejidos difíciles (músculo, cerebro), controlar posibles efectos fuera de objetivo y seguir a pacientes a largo plazo para detectar problemas inesperados. También es importante que este tipo de terapias no quede sólo en manos de grandes farmacéuticas y sea inaccesible para la mayoría. Si la investigación ha contado con fondos públicos, los resultados y las patentes deben gestionarse para garantizar acceso justo, precios asequibles y producción global. Exigimos ensayos clínicos con reclutamiento diverso, transparencia de datos, participación de las comunidades afectadas y regulación rigurosa pero ágil que proteja a pacientes sin bloquear la innovación. En resumen: bienvenida la innovación y el potencial terapéutico, pero acompañada de responsabilidad científica, justicia social y políticas públicas que garanticen que quienes más lo necesitan no se queden fuera.
