Mentions and quotes

Daniel F. Briceño stated that the country had ended up owing Timochenko, despite what he wrote about spending billions of pesos from taxes on luxuries, trips, SUVs, and escorts. He also argued that people accused of crimes and without votes were equated with elected congressmen, that victims were belittled, and that no money or property was given nor was there any reparations for those affected. He added that the responsible parties did not go to prison, continued to enjoy luxuries, and now pretended to give moral lessons and make demands. #Corrupción #Impuestos #Justicia (translated)

Daniel F. Briceño said that he had been keeping his promise to reduce his salary and donate the money to Deisy Dorelly for two months, whom he described as a victim of the FARC. He added that she was working on her productive project alongside Mario. Briceño maintained that victims should come first and that the perpetrators should be punished. https://t.co/BJqTu6rnfp #Víctimas #Paz #Justicia (translated)

Daniel F. Briceño stated that the inhabitants of Bogotá were paying for armored vehicles, two police officers per council member, and even the cleaning of those vehicles, while the council raised their taxes. He said that when he was a council member, he did not need those luxuries and maintained that a new generation would soon arrive to put an end to them. #Bogotá #Corrupción #Política (translated)

Daniel F. Briceño argued that the budget cuts he pushed for the JEP were justified. He described the entity as wasteful and claimed that it worked for the perpetrators and was incapable of judging the main responsible parties for drug trafficking, kidnapping, terrorism, and human rights violations. He added that it deserved those and other cuts. #Justicia #DerechosHumanos #Presupuesto (translated)

Daniel F. Briceño said that when the contracts ended, the ideas also ran out. He turned to Matador and encouraged him to keep trying, as they might be able to hire him in the shadow cabinet. He ended with a blessing. #Ideas #Contratos #Bendiciones (translated)

Daniel F. Briceño stated that, 10 years ago, Juan Manuel Santos promised that the FARC would not receive free seats in Congress. He described that promise as the biggest deception. https://t.co/Whei29osSJ #FARC #Colombia #Santos (translated)

With the resignation of Maria Fernanda Cabal, the Democratic Center loses one of its main leaders, a firm and coherent person. I wish Cabal all the success and blessings. #CentroDemocrático #Liderazgo #PolíticaColombiana (translated)

We are experiencing a new chapter in the hysteria of some members of the Colombian left. The new narrative consists of repeating over and over that “Briceño’s political work is just bots.” 264,838 bots rose up, took their ID, and went with their families to vote for this project a few months ago. To those bots, thank you always. And to the left, a respectful piece of advice: look for an agenda, talk about the country, and don’t waste so much time letting your imagination fly in conspiracy theories that even your own supporters don’t believe. Attached is the official certificate of our bots. #Colombia #Política #Narrativa (translated)

Together with representatives @MiguelPintoRep and @jarizabaletaf, we proposed to unify the two administrative directions of the Senate and Chamber to save the country 300 billion pesos in bureaucracy and expenses. The Congress must also set an example of AUSTERITY. https://t.co/iZQwiIXzbN #Austeridad #Congreso #FinanzasPublicas (translated)

To Dr. Bruce Mac Master and the ANDI, my recognition and gratitude for their leadership in favor of the country's productive apparatus. #Liderazgo #Productividad #Reconocimiento (translated)

Respected Representative: I accept the apologies. The country hopes that, amidst political differences, we engage in discussions and find solutions to the people's problems. In me, you will always find an opponent who will seek substantive debates. Blessings. #Diálogo #Política #Unidad (translated)

I will never fall for provocations. I understand that many, inside and outside the venue, seek to gain from provoking me. However, many Colombians voted for me to represent them and work. They can keep mentioning me every day, inventing and attacking me, but my position in Congress is to hold debates, bring initiatives, and not get tangled up in this kind of stuff. Thank you to everyone who has written to me. God bless you. https://t.co/XsVuXI0OpB #Colombia #Congreso #Política (translated)

Uber, Cabfy, DIDI drivers and other platforms are not criminals. That is why we seek to ensure they have full guarantees to work in the country. https://t.co/UzBlNtTsoy #Uber #TrabajoDigno #DerechosLaborales (translated)

The conspiracy theories claiming that the Central Bank raised rates due to persecution of Petro are coming to an end; today it also raises them under Abelardo. A great lesson of respect for the Central Bank is left today by Minister Miguel Gómez Martínez.
