Cuando muchos creían que la lucha popular hacia la democracia se había truncado otra vez por las maniobras del régimen criminal, un hombre noble y valiente hizo posible lo que muchos nos dijeron que era imposible. No lo vieron venir. No calibraron su integridad y su valentía. No entendieron que la verdad se abriría paso, hasta demoler todas sus mentiras y arrancarles todas sus máscaras. Lamentablemente todas estas investigaciones y escándalos terminan llevando a Venezuela. Y son parte del saqueo más cruel de la historia de la Humanidad. Un país donde no solamente su riqueza, su territorio, sus instituciones se entregaron al crimen organizado, sometiendo a una nación al hambre, a la miseria a la migración. Es trágico, pero es la verdad.

María Corina Machado: President Trump is the only head of state who risked the lives of his citizens to help my country achieve freedom and democracy. Rodríguez has the last chance to be seen as a figure that allowed a peaceful and orderly transition to democracy. There are signs of free speech, mobilization, and criticism that did not exist before. However, this does not mean a full restoration of civil rights. No one knows how high these investment amounts are or what the conditions of the contracts are. There is no oversight body.

I am always deeply moved and energized whenever I meet with my dear friend @AlinejadMasih. We spoke about the unfolding massacre in Iran and how authoritarian regimes cooperate across borders, and why those who stand for freedom must do the same. I am shocked by the sheer brutality of the Islamic Republic, killing thousands of its own citizens who were peacefully protesting. I call on world leaders to condemn this barbaric regime. Today we are witnessing how, from Iran to Venezuela, people who have been oppressed time and again still choose hope, and how women have been at the forefront of this courage. Our shared struggle is living proof that solidarity among those who defend liberty is much stronger than any alliance among dictators! Venezuela and Iran will be free!! -
