That means climate finance from wealthy nations, technology and capacity sharing, and respecting the rights and knowledge of local and Indigenous communities in planning recovery. Finally, let’s hold governments and institutions accountable so aid reaches people quickly and equitably, and ensure mental‑health support for survivors. Celebrate the rescues — and press for the long-term changes that will make those moments far less rare.
