Zastro wrote that Panathinaikos won 5-1, showing improvement and good football, although, as he noted, Asteras created dangerous counterattacks in the first half. He appreciated that the difference in quality showed later on and that, despite Papakanellos' goal for 2-1, the hosts did not allow the Arkadians to come back. He mentioned Lousa and Calabria as the top performers. Regarding the Moroccan, he said he was decisive in the buildup and ball circulation, with two assists and one goal, while he noted that the Italian improved his performance in the second half and was one of the five different scorers. He also highlighted Deser's goal and Salah Edin's appearance, while he characterized the center-backs as stable, despite some individual mistakes. Zastro mentioned that Antino had great intensity but would need a rest, and that Tamborda participated in the buildup for the 5-1. Regarding Andreas, he noted that he needed to improve his collaboration with his teammates. He positively commented on the return of Tsiriveghia, while he wrote that Garcia was not in the mood and Rastonder did not show up. As a negative point, he mentioned the potential muscle injuries of Unai and Yakusich. He added that Unai would have an MRI the next day to determine the extent of the problem. Finally, he referred to the presence of old acquaintances at OAKA, highlighting Mike Galakos and Rene. #ποδόσφαιρο #Παναθηναϊκός #πρωτάθλημα (translated)

The Shot Clock wrote that, after four years of evaluating hundreds of players for the highest level, it considered Mbaye Ndiaye's transition from ASVEL to Olympiacos the most misguided assessment it had made. According to the writer, Ndiaye had adapted to Olympiacos's needs and improved his shooting, evolving into a key player for the team. He described it as a great success in scouting, as he believed he was ready to play a leading role in the EuroLeague champions and act as a steady closer. The Shot Clock also highlighted Carr, who, as he wrote, had been scoring consecutive 20-point games, Robinson Earl, whom he described as one of the best players in Europe and noted was playing in the Eurocup, and Lofton. He added that last season's Valencia players —Montero, Badio, De Larrea, and Pradilla— had scattered to different teams. According to him, the value of roster planning was that it increased the chances of identifying players who could elevate a team without guaranteeing infallible selections. Finally, he announced an upcoming detailed article on the subject. #basketball #scouting #αθλητισμός (translated)

Reporters United reported that on October 16, it received a statement from PASOK member of parliament Pavlos Christidis regarding its report on the activities of the Israel Allies Foundation in Athens and the organization's event at the Athens Club on October 12. Christidis stated that he had attended the event for a short period, following an invitation that, as he mentioned, was made due to his parliamentary status and his participation in Parliamentary Friendship Groups. He stated that he had not spoken with the Israeli ambassador to Greece or with an Israeli minister, that he did not participate in the meeting on October 13, and that he had not taken part in the formation of a group of Greek MPs nor was he a member of it. Regarding PASOK's stance and his own regarding the violations of international law and legitimacy in Gaza, Christidis said it was clear and consistent and that he had expressed it repeatedly in recent years both inside and outside Parliament. He requested that his clarifications be accurately reflected in the report. #ΠΑΣΟΚ #πολιτική #Ελλάδα (translated)

Sifis Valyrakis was not an ordinary person. Sifis Valyrakis was a public figure for decades, who recorded iconic struggles for democracy. The decision that was issued, when it was announced, was in complete contradiction to the entire hearing process. Not only the citizens, the people who followed the process throughout this time, but also the journalists who were in the room during the entire process expressed their astonishment. Justice demands the exercise of appeal, and of course Mina Valyrakis, when she spoke about the deep state immediately after the issuance of the decision, stood up with mental and moral strength against a leveling development and said: “I will not bend, I will go against the deep state.” And I interpret this decision as a result of the deep state's actions. XristosUE mentioned that Olympiacos conceded 31 points in the second half and another 7 in overtime against what he characterized as the top offense in the Euroleague. In his opinion, the team needed another good defender with size, but the main issue was the intensity, which it had not maintained for long periods this year. He added that this was partly understandable, as in October there was a lack of motivation from a team that had won the title. He wrote that when Olympiacos displayed intensity, their defense tightened up and reminded of last year’s top form. Although, as he noted, there was still a lot of work to do, he labeled the victory as very significant and a sign of the team's great potential. He expressed hope that the match would serve as a starting point and described it as epic. #Olympiacos #Basketball #Euroleague (translated)

According to him, the Health Center, which was built in 1983 by Georgios Gennimatas, was the first of its kind nationwide. It has a total area of 1,481 sq. m., is developed over three floors, and has an elevator. Georgiadis said that there had been no intervention in the building since then and that it had been nearly destroyed, while now, after 43 years, it has been transformed into a "completely new" Health Center. He also stated that it is fully staffed and has a biochemical laboratory, radiology department, and telemedicine system. He added that in the near future, a cardiologist and orthopedic surgeon will take service, in addition to the general practitioners, dentist, pathologist, and pediatrician who are already serving. Veron wrote that he was looking forward to the return of the championship and the derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos. He appreciated that the three-week break for the national teams likely benefited Olympiakos, as the players who stayed behind had time to work, while the team, as he said, viewed the match as an important opportunity for a competitive and communicative "return." Regarding Panathinaikos, he mentioned that the break may have affected their rhythm and streak, but that the retention of several key players might have had a positive effect. He added that the team seemed to be expecting a strong reaction from Olympiakos and wanted to play their own game, rather than adjust to the opponent. He acknowledged that this approach had risks but said that this is how teams gain identity. Finally, he noted that everyone at the club really wanted the win, but that it was important to consider the long-term impact of the result, and expressed his faith in "Nistoupism" and the team. #Πρωτάθλημα #Ντέρμπι #Ολυμπιακός (translated)
