#AnimalHealth

The best way to fight animal diseases is to prevent them before they spread. In my message to @AnimalhealthEU, I underlined that prevention, preparedness, surveillance & vaccination must go hand in hand to protect farmers, food security, rural communities & public health ⬇️ https://t.co/V2gIH9aCM6 #AnimalHealth #Prevention #FoodSecurity #EU

The @EU_Commission stands ready to follow up swiftly by helping strengthen preparedness and implementation on the ground & supporting the wider use of preventive vaccination where appropriate. Together with all the stakeholders, we will keep animal health a political priority. #AnimalHealth #Vaccination #EUStrategy #EU

Today, at the Conference marking 10 years of the 🇪🇺 #AnimalHealthLaw, we reflect on what Europe has achieved and how we prepare for the challenges ahead. #AnimalHealth is about much more than farming. It underpins food security, public health, trade and economic resilience ⤵️ https://t.co/5UocR1T5Uw #AnimalHealth #FoodSecurity #PublicHealth #EU

Prevention is better than cure for animal health, farmers and 🇪🇺food security. The new #LivestockStrategy also addresses #animalwelfare, because healthy, well-cared-for animals mean stronger farms, safer food systems and more resilient rural communities. Vaccination is an essential science-based tool for prevention. It should not be seen as a weakness, nor become a barrier to trade. It is part of a modern and responsible approach to animal health. #Vaccination #AnimalHealth #ScienceBased #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

Recent outbreaks show that animal health threats are becoming more frequent, less predictable and more interconnected. We must use all tools at our disposal: strong veterinary services, surveillance, biosecurity, disease control measures and vaccination. #AnimalHealth #VeterinaryServices #Biosecurity #Therearenospecificcountrycodesinthetweetprovided.
