Todo esto deberá ser investigado y judicializado con rigor. Mientras nuestros 205 bomberos, cerca de 20 unidades de apoyo y medios aéreos arriesgan sus vidas combatiendo las llamas, también hemos recibido reportes de personas que estarían obstaculizando las labores de extinción. Además, se investiga si existe una relación entre la generación deliberada de incendios, la distracción de las autoridades y posteriores acciones criminales contra la seguridad y la infraestructura. He ordenado reforzar de inmediato la presencia de la Fuerza Pública en San Luis, Coello y Suárez, proteger a las comunidades y a nuestros bomberos, identificar y capturar a quienes estén provocando incendios y garantizar que nadie interfiera con las operaciones de emergencia. Asimismo, le he dado la instrucción al director de la UNGRD de solicitar de inmediato apoyo internacional a Chile y a Estados Unidos para combatir y sofocar estos incendios.
