Ma non riesco ad essere contento per i suoi problemi di salute, soprattutto se seri come sembra dalle notizie di stampa. Al Fatto hanno dichiarato che era andato a Cuba per fare dei reportage per il giornale e per TV Loft. Mi auguro che abbiano previsto per questo lavoro una copertura assicurativa, che gli permetta di essere curato in una clinica privata (una di quelle a cui accedono solo turisti e membri del regime), perché non mi pare il contesto migliore per scoprire che il mito della straordinaria sanità pubblica cubana è in realtà una balla colossale alimentata dalla propaganda castrista. Un appello sento di farlo pure ai suoi supporter, sapendo già di chiedere probabilmente troppo: lanciarvi in ipotesi di complotti sionisti, della CIA o degli immancabili “poteri forti”, prima ancora di saperne di più è sicuramente in linea con la gara per voi sempre aperta a chi la spara più grossa, ma non ne uscite benissimo. Vi scioccherà sapere che alle persone normalmente capita di stare male per cause naturali e che l’attentato da parte di servizi segreti occidentali statisticamente non è in cima alla lista delle cause di ospedalizzazione. Sorvolo poi sui deliri novax, perché se delle macumbe contro i plurisierati resta vittima proprio uno che di disagiati antivaccinisti ne ha imbarcati a migliaia, qualcosa nelle care vecchie profezie delle date di morte non ha funzionato come doveva. Il paziente morto al Policlinico San Martino non è morto per un’infezione da meningococco: la ricostruzione clinica è quella di un decesso dovuto alle conseguenze di uno stato post-anossico successivo a un arresto cardiocircolatorio avvenuto fuori dall’ospedale. E no, non era in Malattie Infettive: era in TERAPIA INTENSIVA. Bassetti, inoltre, non c’entra nulla con la causa della morte. Ma quando l’obiettivo è alimentare una narrazione, evidentemente qualsiasi pretesto diventa buono per infilarlo dentro. Prima di trasformare la morte di una persona in materiale per il proprio giornale, sarebbe forse il caso di rispettare i fatti. Mi auguro che la famiglia del defunto, la @RegLiguria e il @SanMartino_Ge facciano tutte le verifiche necessarie e, qualora venissero confermate informazioni false e lesive, valutino senza esitazione ogni opportuna azione legale, anche per diffamazione nei confronti del quotidiano La Verità. When Therapy Replaces Morality: The Rise of the Therapy State By replacing religious frameworks with therapy speak, Western society may have lost its moral “grammar” and traded it for clinical language—though moral and psychological categories work differently. The DSM has expanded dramatically: in 1952 it listed 102 disorders; by 2013 it had over 400. Meanwhile, young adults report worsening mental health: poor mental-health days among 18–25-year-olds rose from 3.5 to 6 per month between 1993 and 2020, and depression diagnoses more than doubled from 2006 to 2020. Yet the most striking shift is self-diagnosis. About one in four American adults suspect they have ADHD, while actual prevalence is around 6%. Social media fills the gap: many popular ADHD and autism clips include misleading or unsupported claims. The label persists because it serves a function. A diagnosis increasingly becomes identity—and identity becomes a shield. When someone claims ADHD, anxiety, or trauma, they may be drawing a boundary others are not allowed to cross. Where moral language asks what we should become, therapeutic language labels what we are; once the label becomes identity, the conversation often ends. Religious language framed forces as external, preserving agency—you could resist. Therapeutic culture internalizes them: you don’t have weakness to overcome; you have ADHD. Jung argued that old gods and demons didn’t vanish; they became neuroses, anxieties, and addictions—turning questions of conscience and choice into labels to accept. The result isn’t greater freedom but greater control. If a civilization can’t say “wrong,” it doesn’t necessarily become more tolerant. Moral language permits disagreement and growth; therapeutic language can pathologize it and end discussion. The therapy state is the successor to moral authority—and it may be easier to enforce.

Jung saw this displacement mechanism: modern gods and demons don’t vanish; they become neuroses, anxieties, addictions, and therapeutic labels. The question of conscience and choice becomes a fixed identity that must be accepted. Unlike religious frameworks that locate forces outside you and invite struggle, therapy culture internalizes the forces—so the label replaces agency. You don’t resist weakness; you *are* it. And because boundaries can’t be crossed, change becomes harder. When a civilization loses the ability to say “wrong,” it doesn’t become more tolerant—it becomes more rigid. The therapy state replaces moral authority, with disastrous results.

Prima ancora che la magistratura possa fare chiarezza sulla dinamica dei fatti o valutare la tempestività dei primi soccorsi — considerando che la piccola era già stata dimessa un primo momento dall'ospedale —, figure pubbliche come Bassetti tanto per nominarne uno, si ergono a giudici infallibili. Si emettono sentenze sui social, puntando il dito contro i genitori e cavalcando il dramma per rilanciare battaglie ideologiche o richieste di coercizione sanitaria che non trovano eguali nel resto d'Europa. Il paradosso è evidente: Garantismo a senso unico: Si procede con tempestività nei confronti della famiglia, senza sollevare la minima domanda o attendere verifiche sulla gestione clinica e diagnostica iniziale del caso. Spostamento della potestà genitoriale: Si crea un precedente pericoloso in cui la scelta di cura passa dalle mani delle famiglie a quelle delle narrazioni di Stato, ignorando la complessità di decisioni che ogni genitore prende in scienza e coscienza. Spettacolarizzazione del dolore: Un lutto devastante viene strumentalizzato per alimentare dinamiche di colpevolizzazione pubblica, anziché garantire silenzio, analisi rigorosa e reale sostegno a chi ha perso un figlio.
