Oameni care își numesc propriii concetățeni „împuțiți”, „cu miros de usturoi”, „proști”, „trădători”, doar pentru că votează altfel sau gândesc altfel. Dar atunci cum îi numim pe cei care, vreme de ani de zile, au votat fără să clipească personaje împinse în față drept „serioase”, „europene”, „civilizate”, doar pentru că veneau cu ambalajul corect și cu susținerea corectă? Au avut deja trei președinți pe care, de fiecare dată, i-au prezentat drept alegerea „responsabilă”. Primul venea cu „Să trăiți bine!”. Al doilea ne promitea „România Educată” și „România lucrului bine făcut”. Iar cel mai recent a venit sub steagul unei „Românii Oneste”, și s-a dovedit cel mai mincinos și cu grave probleme psihice incompatibil cu funcția pe care o deține, un clovn. Și ce au realizat? Nimic. După atâtea lecții date altora despre inteligență, educație, moralitate și civilizație, poate că ar fi momentul pentru puțină modestie. Mai ales că, în pandemie, am văzut până unde putea merge această „civilizație”: oameni care cereau izolări forțate, restricții totale, stigmatizare și lagăre pentru cei care nu se conformau. Și mai este ceva. Situația economică, socială și politică de astăzi nu a apărut din senin. Este și rezultatul voturilor, alegerilor și complicității celor care acum îi privesc de sus pe ceilalți. Ani întregi au susținut aceleași partide, aceleași politici și aceleași personaje, iar acum, când consecințele se văd în datorie, taxe, prețuri, neîncredere și o societate ruptă în două, tot vina „proștilor” ar fi. Aici este problema reală: nu că există oameni care îl susțin pe Georgescu sau pe altcineva. Problema este că am ajuns să nu ne mai vedem ca români unii pe alții, ci ca două tabere care trebuie să se urască. Poți să-l critici pe Georgescu. Poți să nu-l votezi. Poți să consideri că greșește profund. Dar în momentul în care începi să-i numești pe milioane de oameni „proști”, „nespălați”, „trădători” sau „needucați”, nu mai aperi democrația. O distrugi. Pentru că democrația nu înseamnă doar să accepți votul atunci când câștigă candidatul tău. Înseamnă să accepți că și cel de lângă tine are dreptul să gândească diferit fără să fie tratat ca un om inferior. Iar înainte să-i condamni pe ceilalți pentru alegerile lor, poate ar trebui să te uiți puțin la România construită și prin alegerile tale.
