Ministrija ir saņēmusi Iekšlietu ministrijas kā Patvēruma, migrācijas un integrācijas fonda 2021.–2027. gada plānošanas perioda vadošās iestādes atkārtotu vēstuli. Tajā norādīts, ka biedrības “Gribu palīdzēt bēgļiem” vadoša persona apsūdzēta kriminālprocesā saistībā ar Latvijas valsts robežas iespējamu nelikumīgas šķērsošanas atbalstīšanu, šis kriminālprocess vēl nav noslēdzies. Ņemot vērā, ka projekta īstenošana vēl nav uzsākta, kā arī projekta ietvaros nav veikti maksājumi, projekta īstenošanas uzsākšana būtu atliekama līdz galīgā tiesas nolēmuma spēkā stāšanās brīdim. Esmu lēmis apturēt projekta “Kultūras dažādības festivāls kā koprades un integrācijas veicinātājs” īstenošanu līdz galīgā tiesas nolēmuma spēkā stāšanās brīdim attiecīgajā kriminālprocesā. Projekta kopējā summa ir 99 954 eiro. Pēc galīgā tiesas nolēmuma spēkā stāšanās ministrija atkārtoti izvērtēs visus faktiskos un tiesiskos apstākļus un pieņems lēmumu par projekta turpmāko īstenošanu. #MigrantIntegration #Latvia #JusticeSystem
