Il caldo subtropicale continentale mostra le prime crepe, dopo il 17 agosto qualcosa può cambiare davvero. Gli spaghi del modello americano su Roma iniziano a mostrare un segnale interessante. Tra la fine della seconda decade e l’inizio della terza decade di agosto l’anticiclone subtropicale continentale potrebbe perdere compattezza e la media dei vari scenari mostra un calo termico con un ritorno a temperature nella media del periodo. Fino al 17-18 agosto il quadro resta ancora molto caldo, con valori a 850 hPa spesso intorno a +21/+23°C. La massa d’aria resta pienamente calda e sopra la media per il periodo e non ci sarà nessuna svolta immediata. Poi, però, qualcosa cambia. Tra il 18 e il 20 agosto diversi scenari iniziano a portare le isoterme verso valori meno estremi, spesso comprese tra +16 e +19°C a 850 hPa. Non sarebbe fresco autunnale, sia chiaro, ma sarebbe una discesa importante rispetto alla fase attuale e potrebbe segnare l’inizio di un declino più evidente e definitivo del caldo più intenso. Si nota anche qualche segnale di maggiore instabilità, con possibili rovesci o temporali, anche se su questo punto la previsione resta ancora delicata. Non stiamo parlando di una certezza assoluta, perché dopo il 20 agosto gli spaghi si aprono e l’incertezza aumenta ma rispetto ai giorni scorsi il segnale è più concreto e le possibilità aumentano. Fauci stuurt een privébericht naar Walensky en Murthy: de sterke koorts en cytokine-respons na de tweede mRNA-dosis kan theoretisch een miskraam in het eerste trimester veroorzaken. Walensky antwoordt meteen: “Definitely a good point, especially after dose two.” Publiek? “No red flags.” Daarna draait de machine op volle toeren. In België adviseert de Hoge Gezondheidsraad vanaf 2021 prioritair vaccinatie voor alle zwangere vrouwen. Niet alleen de risicogroepen. Allemaal. Ongeacht trimester. Wie durfde te twijfelen, was antivaxxer. Wie bleef doorvragen, werd gecensureerd. Huisarts Frank Peeters legde een verband met miskramen via VAERS en werd geschorst door de Orde der Artsen. Drie jaar later verandert België van koers. Vanaf 2024: geen systematische vaccinatie meer voor gezonde zwangere vrouwen. Alleen nog bij comorbiditeit of hoogrisicozwangerschap. Voor de rest: individuele afweging. Dat is geen nuance. Dat is een stille bekentenis. Ze hebben de algemene aanbeveling zelf ingetrokken. Niet omdat de wetenschap plots radicaal veranderde, maar omdat de eerdere stellige zekerheid niet standhield. Hier ligt de kern: Intern bestond er onzekerheid. Naar buiten toe werd zekerheid verkocht. En wie die onzekerheid publiek maakte, werd behandeld als vijand. Dat is geen miscommunicatie. Dat is een informatiefiasco met zwangere vrouwen als inzet. De wetenschap mag evolueren. Maar mensen hebben het recht om te vragen waarom ze in 2021 zoveel absolute zekerheid kregen voorgeschoteld, terwijl achter de schermen al over mogelijke risico’s werd gesproken. Ze hebben het recht om te vragen waarom critici werden geschorst en belachelijk gemaakt, terwijl de officiële lijn jaren later zelf werd teruggedraaid. Dit gaat niet over de vraag of het vaccin massaal miskramen veroorzaakte. Dit gaat over wat men wist, wat men zei, en wat men deed met wie de waarheid durfde te zoeken.
