Héctor Suárez Gomís questioned Viri Ríos for, according to him, confusing the payment of taxes with demanding that resources be reflected in public services, such as pothole-free streets. He argued that holding the government accountable for maintenance was not hypocrisy and listed taxes such as the ISR, VAT, IEPS, property tax, and vehicle tax. He also stated that the poor condition of the streets forced citizens to cover private medical expenses and repairs for their vehicles, and mentioned that changing all four tires every year could be a consequence of those conditions. Suárez Gomís pointed out that studying at Harvard did not guarantee an understanding that public money belonged to the citizens and that officials should be held accountable. He urged Ríos to demand answers from Adán Augusto and criticized him for refusing to make statements. Additionally, he accused those who reported potholes and opposed the property tax of being inconsistent and argued that citizens demanded punctuality from taxpayers while tolerating, according to him, government ineptitude. #Impuestos #Gobierno #ServiciosPúblicos (translated)

CYRES reported that Maya, 24, had worked two jobs to buy her grandfather hearing aids that cost $4,800. According to her account, her grandfather had been losing his hearing for ten years and had stopped speaking during family dinners; when he received the hearing aids on his birthday in March, he stood still and then cried. In November, for Maya's birthday, he gave her a scarf with uneven stitches and a hole. She thanked him, but later told her roommate that she was disappointed and never wore it. During the winter, she used another one bought from a store, while her grandfather, according to CYRES, would often look at her neck when she went to visit him. The account added that in January, after arguing, Maya reproached him for not having bought her something. Her grandfather replied that the hole in the scarf was intentional and asked her to look at it. #Familia #Amor #Regalos (translated)

Nacho Montes de Oca argued that the limit imposed by Elon Musk on Starlink favored Putin and added to Donald Trump's cuts to the early warning system for Russian missiles. He stated that Ukraine had started to successfully use Starlink-guided interceptors to shoot down in-flight new Russian drones powered by reactors, which he described as faster than conventional Shahed drones. According to his writings, the limit of 160 km/h hindered the telemetry and control needed for these pursuits. Citing the Financial Times, Montes de Oca noted that mid-range interceptors needed to reach high speeds almost immediately to take off and stabilize. He added that signal loss when exceeding the limit could cause them to crash or lead to mission cancellations before takeoff. In his view, this increased vulnerability to ballistic attacks and high-speed drones, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure. #Ucrania #Drones #SeguridadNacional (translated)
