Abelardo De La Espriella reported that, in Yarumal, Antioquia, the National Army killed in combat two people identified as members of the Gulf Clan and seized a rifle and a pistol. In Mitú, Vaupés, five members of the Armando Ríos structure were captured and 1,058 kilos of marijuana, two boats, and an engine were confiscated, he noted. He also indicated that the Police seized 611.8 kilos of cocaine in Ibagué that were being transported in a truck and captured one person. In Puerto Asís and Puerto Santander, he added, two illegal fuel refining infrastructures were destroyed, and 43,453 gallons were either disabled or destroyed. De La Espriella said that the balance of the last 24 hours was 29 captures and that, since August 7, there had been 32,503 captures, 129,526 kilos of drugs seized, and 3,456 firearms taken out of circulation. Abelardo De La Espriella said he was continuing, along with the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, the investigation into the installation of a flag and cylinders referring to the ELN in Barranquilla and Soledad. He reported that the Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office, captured during a raid alias Kleiver, a member of Los Costeños, who had an outstanding arrest warrant for qualified and aggravated theft. According to De La Espriella, the investigation identified him as the driver of the vehicle used to transport the items. De La Espriella pointed out that the first items were found early in the morning in Ciudadela 20 de Julio, in Barranquilla, and that hours later they found two more cylinders in a parking lot near the Soledad Transportation Terminal. He added that the inspected items did not contain explosives. He affirmed that the operation was ongoing to locate the vehicle and another person who, according to the investigation, participated in the events. He also said that General Sandra Liliana Rodríguez was leading the verifications. De La Espriella maintained that the State should act in a coordinated manner, together with the Public Force, the Prosecutor's Office, and the judiciary, against those he described as narcoterrorists. He said that, while he was president, he would not allow Colombians to be intimidated and that such acts would have a firm response. #Barranquilla #FuerzaPública #Justicia (translated)

Alex_politics calculated that applying the rates proposed by Figaredo to personal income tax would reduce state revenue by nearly 100 billion euros a year, an amount that, as he wrote, was practically equivalent to all healthcare spending. He estimated that someone with a gross salary of 1,500 euros per month would save 376 euros a year in taxes, while a person earning 100,000 euros would save almost 19,000. He also argued that, in a mixed model of healthcare and pensions, a basic health insurance would cost about 100 euros per month and would require paying the first 1,600 euros annually before receiving coverage. He added that matching a public pension with a private plan would require contributions between 250 and 420 euros per month. According to his calculations, incomes of up to 50,000 euros would lose between 3,500 and 5,500 euros annually in purchasing power, and the state would stop collecting nearly 6% of GDP. Alex_politics concluded that, in his opinion, the main beneficiaries would be the rich. #IRPF #Sanidad #Economía (translated)

Abelardo De La Espriella stated that the security forces had captured five members of structure 33 in Tibú and another five alleged members of the Clan del Golfo in Santa Fe de Antioquia and Tierralta. He wrote that in Tibú, a long gun, three handguns, and ammunition had also been seized. He added that two members of the “Raúl Reyes” structure had surrendered to justice in Florencia and handed over three long guns, a drone, and three explosive devices for drones. In Sardinata, he said, the Police had controlled the destruction of 100 explosives attributed to the ELN. De La Espriella pointed out that the Police Carabineros Directorate had intervened in five illegal mining units on the Saldaña River in Chaparral and Coyaima, Tolima. He noted that six excavators, four diving dredges, eight motor pumps, and three industrial engines had been destroyed, with an estimated value of $3.198 billion. He claimed that these units could extract gold worth around $4 billion per month and that they financed the Gerónimo Galeano front, aligned with the EMC, through approximately $599 million per month in extortion payments. He also asserted that the Army had affected 24 illegal mining production units and 21 dredges, and that in Ayapel, the Police had destroyed 26 motor pumps and eight classifiers. De La Espriella said that his order was to pursue criminals, cut off their sources of funding, and protect Colombians; he concluded with patriotic and religious slogans. #Narcoterrorismo #Justicia #Colombia (translated)

#ViviendaES #Alquiler #ClaseMedia
