Celine Cairo (Amsterdam, 1990) is een Nederlands singer-songwriter. Cairo werd in 1990 geboren in Amsterdam. Ze groeide op in een muzikaal gezin. Haar vader was drummer en van jongs af aan ging ze regelmatig naar zijn optredens. Op 11-jarige leeftijd begon ze zangles te nemen. Als tiener begon ze liedjes te schrijven en na de middelbare school reisde ze door Frankrijk waar ze inspiratie opdeed en meer muziek schreef. Linda Perry (Springfield (Massachusetts), 15 april 1965) is een Amerikaans rockmuzikant, songwriter en producer. It was upon such unassuming premises that there came into being, at San Severo, in the province of Foggia, the teatro edicola - the "kiosk theatre" - a diminutive cultural space wrought from a disused and long-abandoned news-stand, which today draws audiences, curiosity, and attention far beyond Italy's borders. The enterprise has been elevated to the dignity of a case study by Stanford University. In the "Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR)", the international journal dedicated to innovative solutions to social problems, there has been published the article "The Six-Seat Revolution", authored by the Foggia-based researcher Luciano Magaldi and supervised by editor David V. Johnson. The contribution is featured in the journal's Dispatches section. "It is an achievement which rewards our labour," emphasises Francesco Gravino, artistic director of the theatrical company Foyer 97, the protagonist of the undertaking. The idea is as simple as it is original: to transform a space fallen into disuse into a cultural outpost capable of accommodating petite spectacles and of forging an immediate rapport with the public. The format has already excited interest in other Italian cities. "Requests to replicate the model have reached us from other parts of Italy, such as Lucca and Rome," Gravino recounts. Hence also the appeal for intervention upon disused spaces: "What is required is a regional law affording the possibility of reconverting these places, wherein one might give life to manifold activities. Veritable cultural garrisons." In the kiosk theatre, performances endure but a few minutes, and the public is admitted in small parties. Six seats are available, performances follow one another in close succession, and an audience composed of the young and the adult has responded with constancy, frequently to the extent of being sold out. An experiment which has attracted the attention of the world of entertainment itself. Between the end of July and the first days of August, during his tour in Lucera, even Biagio Antonacci paid a surprise visit to the kiosk theatre. The singer-songwriter tarried within the space and sang Iris, drawing the attention of passers-by. "It was truly a most beautiful encounter which captivated the attention of all," Gravino recalls. Foyer 97 is now preparing its forthcoming programme. Next year, indeed, the company shall celebrate a significant milestone: "It shall attain its thirtieth anniversary, and it is an occasion we shall mark with sundry novelties," Gravino announces.

Steve Earle (Fort Monroe, Hampton, 17 januari 1955), is een Amerikaans singer-songwriter. Hij leverde werk in vele muziekstijlen waaronder countryrock, folk, Americana, altcountry en rootsrock. Hij ontmoette de singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, die een groot voorbeeld voor hem werd. Naast zijn werk schreef hij liedjes en speelde hij bas in de begeleidingsband van Guy Clark. Hij vormde zijn eigen begeleidingsband The Dukes. In het begin van de jaren 80 kreeg Earle een contract aangeboden als songwriter. Joscelyn Eve Stoker (Dover, 11 april 1987), beter bekend onder haar artiestennaam Joss Stone, is een Engelse soul-, R&B- en blueszangeres, songwriter en actrice. Stone werd eind 2003 beroemd na de release van haar platina debuutalbum, The Soul Sessions. In 2004 werd haar nummer 1-album, Mind, Body & Soul uitgegeven. Het album en de bijbehorende leadsingle You Had Me werden in 2005 genomineerd voor een Grammy Award. Dat jaar kreeg Stone ook een nominatie voor "Beste nieuwe artiest". Bobby Goldsboro (Marianna (Florida), 18 januari 1941) is een Amerikaanse pop- en country-singer-songwriter. Bobby zette hij zijn eerste stappen in de muziek op de plaatselijke highschool, als lid van de band The Webbs. The Webbs werden de begeleidingsband van Roy Orbison. De groep toerde van 1962 tot 1964 met Orbison. Devendra Banhart (Houston, 30 mei 1981) is een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter. Devendra is opgegroeid in Caracas, Venezuela. Hij kwam terug naar Amerika toen hij 13 jaar was. Gilbert O'Sullivan (Waterford, 1 december 1946) is een Iers zanger en songwriter. O'Sullivan werd geboren in Waterford in Ierland als Raymond Edward O'Sullivan (Ray). Al op jonge leeftijd speelde hij piano. Tijdens zijn studie begon hij liedjes te schrijven en hij speelde in verschillende semi-professionele bands. Hij speelde ook gitaar en drums. Joe South, pseudoniem voor Joseph Alfred Souter, (Atlanta, 28 februari 1940 – Buford, 5 september 2012) was een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter, die in eerste instantie uitblonk als sessiemuzikant bij onder andere Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan en Simon and Garfunkel. Joseph Henry"T Bone" Burnett III (St. Louis, 14 januari 1948) is een Amerikaans muziekproducent, muzikant en songwriter. Burnett groeide op in Fort Worth (Texas) en begon daar in 1965 met het opnemen van muziek. Hij speelde midden jaren 70 gitaar in de begeleidingsband van Bob Dylan tijdens diens Rolling Thunder Revue. Nadat die tournee eindigde startte hij met David Mansfield en Steven Soles, twee andere leden van Dylans band, The Alpha Band die drie albums uitbracht. Wilco is een Amerikaanse rockband die in 1994 werd opgericht door oud-leden van Uncle Tupelo. De band bestaat sinds 2006 uit frontman zanger/gitarist en songwriter Jeff Tweedy, gitarist Nels Cline, bassist en backingvocalist John Stirratt, drummer/percussionist Glenn Kotche, toetsenist Mikael Jorgensen en multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone. Nadat cultgroup Uncle Tupelo begin jaren negentig ter ziele gaat, richten de belangrijkste songwriters van die groep Jay Farrar en Jeff Tweedy beiden hun eigen band op: Son Volt en Wilco. 'Wilco' is 27 MC-jargon van Amerikaanse vrachtwagenchauffeurs en betekent 'will comply' ('boodschap is ontvangen en verzoek wordt opgevolgd').
