Măsurile de protecție instituite prin această lege vizează declararea stării de criză pe piața petrolieră, reducerea accizei la motorină, plafonarea adaosului comercial, interzicerea temporară a exporturilor de motorină fără avizul prealabil al Ministerului Energiei pentru securizarea prioritară a consumului intern și introducerea unei contribuții de solidaritate pentru marile companii petroliere. Totodată, cei care au făcut precontracte de cumpărare a locuințelor până la 31 iulie 2025 vor putea să încheie procedura fără TVA majorat până pe finalul lunii septembrie. Într-o perioadă complicată politic, este un semn de stabilitate și maturitate că măsuri echitabile și necesare pentru români obțin în Parlament voturile necesare.
