Depuis l’école communale Saint-Exupéry à Ranguin, à Cannes la Bocca, en ce jour de rentrée scolaire. Chaque année, je tiens à être dans une école pour vérifier que tout se passe bien évidemment (toute l’équipe municipale est mobilisée pour être dans chaque établissement), et partager ce moment avec des enfants, parents, agents communaux (dont les Atsem) et enseignants de différentes écoles. La démarche vise donc à veiller au bon déroulement de cette journée si importante d’abord, au cours de laquelle peuvent se mêler rires et larmes, et j’aime aussi m’imprégner de ces moments de vie, si précieux. Ils nous rappellent pourquoi on s’engage, pour qui on s’engage, et à quel point l’avenir de notre société se construit ici et maintenant. « Vivre c’est naître lentement. Il serait un peu trop aisé d’emprunter des âmes toutes faites » écrivait Saint-Exupéry. C’est là toute la beauté de l’école : accompagner cette naissance lente et diffuse et imprégner ces âmes de savoirs et valeurs qui les rendront libres.
