Am împlinit 50 de ani azi. Da, jumătate de secol. Nu e puțin. Am ajuns, cred eu, la cea mai fertilă perioadă intelectuală din viața mea. Superbă! Fără exagerare. Mi-am scos data nașterii de la profil de ceva ani. Din mai multe motive. În primul rând, nu am niciun merit pentru ziua în care m-am născut, iar cei care aveau unul nu mai sunt. Așa că mai degrabă aș fi trist astăzi decât fericit. În al doilea rând, eu mă bucur de fiecare zi, nu am nevoie de o zi anume pentru a mă simți împlinit. Am mâncat suficient ca să mă împlinesc altfel. Și, nu în ultimul rând, e obositor să răzpunzi mesajelor tuturor oamenilor, majoritatea necunoscuți, de pe rețelele sociale. Ar fi cea mai muncită sărbătoare, de care n-am chef. Repet, nu am niciun merit pentru asta, decât că am supraviețuit. Dacă vreți să se bucure cineva cu adevărat de un mesaj, sunați-vă părinții, copiii, prietenii, spuneți-le că îi apreciați, că îi iubiți, sau ce vreți voi. În fiecare zi aveți mai puțin timp să o faceți. Știu că sunteți aici, că uneori râdeți sau vă enervați pentru ceea ce scriu, dar învățați să apreciați oamenii care contează cu adevărat pentru voi.
