✙ 🇨🇿 Kamil Krilov 🇺🇦 ✙ 24h

Kamil Krilov criticized Andrej Babiš for his statements about agricultural subsidies, contributions to the EU budget, and the adoption of the euro. He wrote that Babiš praised Ireland for not interfering with national agricultural subsidies while simultaneously criticizing net contributors to the EU budget for their reliefs. According to Krilov, Babiš also stated that the Czech Republic will never adopt the euro. Krilov interpreted Babiš’s stance as others having to pay while Agrofert will draw support and the Czech Republic will not fulfill its commitments to Europe. He accused Babiš of promoting his own interests and privatizing the Czech Republic through his influence, while blackmailing Europe. He pointed out to Babiš’s voters that they expect a change for the better from him. He claimed that under his government, gasoline and mortgages became more expensive and that the situation with doctors did not change. He also wrote that Babiš gained power and will use it for his own benefit at the expense of the entire country. He labeled support for Babiš’s private interests as support for the voters' own impoverishment. https://t.co/e15Pdh2AFb #politika #Česko #Babiš (translated)

The author stated that the European Commission agreed with him and that the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Intervention Fund should follow its position, not only now but also retroactively. According to him, further inaction could lead to a limitation of European funding, which he believes would affect all Czech farmers. He called on the ministry and the Agricultural Intervention Fund to start negotiations. https://t.co/qJR4vhNBTD #Zemědělství #EvropskáUnie #Financování #CZ #EU (translated)

Ivan Bartoš 2d

Ivan Bartoš requested the inclusion of a proposal for the resignation of Minister of Agriculture Martin Šebestyán as the first item on the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies. According to him, the reason was the permanent and unjustified support of Agrofert at the expense of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Bartoš stated that Šebestyán, who was nominated by SPD, previously disbursed subsidies as the head of the Agricultural Fund during the first premiership of Andrej Babiš in violation of laws. He claimed that the conflict of interest of Andrej Babiš from 2017-2021 was confirmed by the highest instances of Czech courts in individual cases. He accused the minister of deliberately delaying the recovery of improperly received subsidies from companies in the Agrofert holding and continued to provide support to these companies from national funds, even though the European Commission had raised concerns about the situation. He added that the European Public Prosecutor's Office was dealing with the procedure and that Šebestyán ignored the statements of the European Commission to Transparency International, which stated that Babiš did not resolve the conflict of interest by investing in the fund. Bartoš called on Šebestyán to take action or resign immediately. In conclusion, he stated that the proposal had been vetoed. #politika #korupce #ČR (translated)

Janusz Konieczny 3d

Janusz Konieczny stated that the government was preparing a new grant program worth 200 million crowns, from which only businesses with billion-crown revenues or at least 250 employees could benefit. According to him, the conditions would favor Agrofert and other large holdings. He wrote that he began preparing a letter to the European Commission, which was to be sent the following day. He also reminded that at the beginning of the year, the government renewed a program worth 250 million crowns intended for large concerns and that Agrofert would receive the most from it, according to him. Konieczny claimed that representatives of the European Commission told him several years ago that the program for crop and livestock insurance is not intended for large businesses in other EU countries, with the exception of Poland. He explained to the European Commission the differences in farm sizes: the average in the EU was 17 hectares, in Poland 10 to 15 hectares, in Spain 30 hectares, and in the Czech Republic up to 130 hectares. He associated this situation with supporting the largest agricultural holdings. He recalled that eight years ago, he and Michal Bláha, the founder of Hlídač státu, investigated whether Agrofert was receiving subsidies intended for small and medium-sized enterprises. He stated that after two press conferences, Agrofert and other holdings had to return the subsidies and that the courts and the European Commission became involved in resolving the issue. Konieczny thanked Ivan Bartoš and the Association of Private Agriculture, especially its chairman Šebek, for their involvement in this matter. #dotace #zemědělství #EvropskáKomise (translated)

According to ČT24, the organization claimed that Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš is in a conflict of interest and that the measures taken do not adequately address the issue. Babiš, who in February placed shares of the Agrofert holding into the trust fund RSVP Trust, called the conclusion nonsense and stated that he has done more than he had to. Last year, we held SPD fairs where supporters of the former government and today's opposition claimed they were curious how the SPD would achieve butter prices like those at the fairs. And you see, now butter is 42 percent cheaper year on year, milk is also 42 percent cheaper, which is a coincidental alignment of numbers. The price of eggs has fallen by 14 percent, and pork is cheaper. All of this is the result of the fact that the SPD has a Minister of Agriculture," Okamura stated according to the iportal24.cz server. #cenypotravin #ekonomika #SPD (translated)
