Zdeněk Šarapatka stated that the High State Prosecutor's Office in Prague forwarded his criminal complaint regarding the actions against the FAU company during Andrej Babiš's government to the Regional State Prosecutor's Office in Ostrava. According to him, this was done because any consequence of unlawful conduct could have occurred in that region. Šarapatka quoted a statement from the prosecutor, according to which the factual jurisdiction was established under § 17 of the Criminal Procedure Code considering the possible legal qualification. This was supposed to involve suspicion of abuse of power by an official or a group of perpetrators whose aim, according to the complaint, was to cause harm to the FAU company, exceed their powers, and instruct the financial and customs administration to undertake unjustified and unlawful actions that were to effectively liquidate the company. Šarapatka added that in his opinion, evil should not be yielded to. #právo #justičnísystem #Českárepublika (translated)
