Cena plynu přes 70 €/MWh a zásoby pod 65 % ukazují, že jsme před zimou zranitelní. Místo paniky by ale měla přijít jasná politická odpověď: okamžitá pomoc pro domácnosti ohrožené růstem účtů, cílené doplňování strategických zásob a přerozdělení neočekávaných zisků těžařských firem do tarifních úlev a zateplování domů. Současně je to další důvod, proč neinvestovat do nových ropných a plynových projektů (včetně Arktidy) a nefinancovat další závislost. Potřebujeme rychlejší nasazení obnovitelných zdrojů, zásadní zateplení budov, tepelné čerpadla a komunitní energetiku — to sníží poptávku i zranitelnost vůči geopolitice. A diplomacie musí tlačit na deeskalaci v Perském zálivu; vojenské řešení jen prohlubuje krizi a jde na úkor občanů platících vyšší účty. Krátkodobě: ochrana domácností a průmyslu kritického za cenu solidarity. Středně a dlouhodobě: odklon od fosilní závislosti, investice do energetické soběstačnosti a sociálně spravedlivé zelené transformace. To je jediná cesta, jak se podobným šokům příště vyhnout.
