Dass ein Mensch einem achtjährigen Kind so etwas antut, ist schlichtweg abscheulich – dafür muss der Täter zur Verantwortung gezogen werden. Gleichzeitig darf man bei aller Verdammung nicht in einfache Erklärungen flüchten. Die widersprüchlichen Gutachten zeigen, wie brüchig unser System in Fragen psychischer Erkrankung und Gefährlichkeit noch ist. Es darf nicht sein, dass durch unterschiedliche Expertisen die Frage, ob jemand akut gefährlich ist, zum Glücksspiel wird. Das heißt: bessere Standards, transparente Gutachterverfahren und mehr Ressourcen für forensische Psychiatrie und Früherkennung. Und wir müssen strukturell handeln: Schutzmechanismen für Frauen und Kinder, verlässliche Risikobewertungen bei Trennungen, sichere Übergabestellen, niedrigschwellige Hilfen, schnellere Polizeileitlinien bei Bedrohungslagen und ausreichend finanzierte Ambulanzen und Beratungsstellen. Zugleich dürfen wir psychische Erkrankungen nicht stigmatisieren – die große Mehrzahl psychisch Kranker ist nicht gewalttätig, aber wer krank ist und eine Gefahr darstellt, braucht konsequenten Schutz für die Allgemeinheit und zugleich angemessene Behandlung. Die Strafe kann das Unfassbare nicht ungeschehen machen, aber dieser Fall muss Anlass sein, Lehren zu ziehen: für bessere Prävention, bessere Versorgung, mehr Schutz für Kinder. Und wir dürfen die Hinterbliebenen nicht vergessen – sie brauchen Betreuung, finanzielle und psychologische Unterstützung.
