Scott Aaronson

Whether one is excited, depressed, angry, or otherwise about it, "The Mathocalypse" was the title of a blog post by Scott Aaronson, a prominent computer scientist and husband of Dana Moshkovitz, in which he also recounts the insensitive remark of his little son. #Mathematik #KünstlicheIntelligenz #MillenniumProbleme (translated)

If you want to get an idea of what things look like now in mathematics, imagine a hunter-gatherer who has spent his entire life learning to survive deep in a merciless tropical forest, and then right next to him appears a giant resort hotel with a helicopter pad, heated pools, and Airbnb," writes Scott Aaronson, chair of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. #математокалипсис #изкуственинтелект #математика (translated)

Scott Aaronson, a professor and director of the computer science department at the University of Texas at Austin, described the change with a suggestive comparison: a man who has spent his entire life learning to survive in a tropical rainforest suddenly discovers, right next to him, a huge resort complex equipped with a helipad and heated pools. #InteligențaArtificială #Matematică #Cercetare (translated)
