The author wrote that Europe faced difficulties in creating companies, including securing funding to hire programmers and build large businesses. They argued that AI, alongside a change in mindset—particularly among young people—could help bring more of the IT sector back to Europe. #Empreendedorismo #Inovação #Tecnologia #EU

When people talk about AI companies money flow they miss two fundamental things: 1. It is a winner takes all business. With ASI you take pharma, chips, ... 2. In the long term the idea we have of money will disappear. #AI #Finance #Innovation #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

The irreconcilable misunderstanding about AI is that for some of us is the way to remove suffering, inequality, limits from the human race. For others, a tool: and, right now, the capabilities are at tool level, giving the illusion that the tool is the point. #AI #Technology #Humanity #Therearenospecificcountrymentionsinthetweetprovided. Therefore #therearenocountrycodestoreturn.

6. AI ability to produce math at a super-human level in certain areas is now quite clear. Who claims math need to remain the same as yesterday really requires stronger arguments than the ones in the Tao thread I read. #AI #Mathematics #Innovation #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

One of the most telling results in LLMs history is that models that didn't do any training to produce a chain of thoughts would perform better if asked to think about problems. TLDR: Anthropic is back in the games, even if not shining and no longer leading the game. If not for Fable, for a brief moment, it is now months that OpenAI ships superior models. Now they are catching up but GPT 6 is likely near to be released. #AI #OpenAI #Anthropic #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

Btw if you think the argument against Chinese models is too weak to ban them internally, in the US, you should check the status of Heath Care and costs for American citizens of things that cost 1/10 elsewhere in the world. They can do it, especially with this administration. #HealthCare #USPolitics #ChinaModels #CN #US

I see very worrying US companies executives declarations depicting open weight models as a risk. How much sold to the most furious capitalistic vision you need to be, to really believe it is better that a few companies control AI for all the world? They said the same for OSS. #AI #Capitalism #OpenSource #US

Everything outside the LLM model itself will be eaten by the open source movement. The model is still the product. Companies love to think otherwise but switching provider is just an API endpoint away. This trend can't be stopped as long as model capabilities are comparable. #OpenSource #LLM #AITrends #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

About LLMs export control. A few interesting things that people right now may not yet focus since they are "far" problems. 1. It is impossible to really take LLMs safe. They are a a few TB files worth of weights. People will find ways to copy them, there will be leaks. #LLMs #ExportControl #AILeaks #Therearenospecificcountrymentionsinthetweetprovided.

Modern AI resulted from research made also by many non-US scientists (Hinton, the French folks, Linnainmaa, many others). The pre-training corpus was produced worldwide with massive code contribution from Europe OSS. What is happening with frontier LLMs is unacceptable. #AI #LLMs #OpenSource #FR #EU

Prediction: now that with GLM / DeepSeek & more we will see very good LLMs available open weight, and even more when the GPU/RAM insanity will be contained, the open source agents landscape will create *much* better tools that we are used to use today. For instance: #LLM #OpenSource #AI #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

OpenAI may delay GPT6 (or even 5.6) before making sure could not be blocked like Fable. Or they could play it smart, publishing only the benchmarks that show the improvements on certain area, providing a very censored model in the cyber-security side, and cross their fingers. #OpenAI #GPT6 #CyberSecurity #Nospecificcountrycodesarepresentinthetweet.

While Fable is an amazing model, don't get too excited: it is great, but still has the usual failure models of the other good LLMs we saw in the past, including GPT 5.5. If you look at Anthropic, Opus -> Fable was a huge jump. If you look at the field, GPT 5.5 -> Fable is #Fable #LLM #AI #Nospecificcountrycodesarementionedinthetweet.

However what politics can do, what society can do, is to avoid the most worrying outcome, as soon as we see AI can be a risk for homo sapiens survival, and to change the social-economic tissue of society to compensate the affected persons. #AI #Society #Politics #Therearenospecificcountriesmentionedinthetweet.
