Οι Αρχές εξετάζουν το ενδεχόμενο η πυρκαγιά να προκλήθηκε από χαλαρά καλώδια, τα οποία φέρεται να χτύπησαν μεταξύ τους, προκαλώντας σπινθήρες. Μετά το προηγούμενο περιστατικό είχαν γίνει εργασίες αποκατάστασης σε καλώδια ανάμεσα σε δύο κολώνες, ωστόσο φαίνεται πως δεν διορθώθηκε το πρόβλημα και στις υπόλοιπες. Για την υπόθεση έγιναν δύο συλλήψεις υπευθύνων του συγκεκριμένου έργου.
