Mette Frederiksen spørger: Hvorfor skal man kunne tjene penge på udsatte mennesker? Mit svar er enkelt: Det skal man heller ikke. Man skal tjene sine penge på at løse en opgave ordentligt. Der er problemer med kriminelle svindlere på socialområdet. Men løsningen er hverken et profitloft eller at give kommunerne monopol. Mit spørgsmål til statsministeren og alle andre socialdemokrater er: Hvorfor må private virksomheder gerne tjene penge på at bygge skolen, hospitalet og plejehjemmet - men ikke på at levere selve omsorgen? Private entreprenører bygger for milliarder af offentlige kroner. Private virksomheder leverer medicinsk udstyr, rengøring, mad og it. Selvfølgelig må de have et overskud, hvis de leverer det, vi har betalt dem for. Hvorfor skulle det princip pludselig ophøre, når det gælder sociale tilbud? Profit og kriminalitet er ikke det samme. Et overskud kan komme af dygtig ledelse, effektiv drift, innovation og investeringer. Svindel er falske fakturaer, fiktive medarbejdere, oppustede huslejer og penge, der kanaliseres over i nærtstående selskaber. Det sidste skal vi slå benhårdt ned på. Det gør vi bare ikke med et profitloft. Et sådant loft gør det mindre attraktivt for dygtige mennesker at investere i og udvikle specialiserede tilbud, som kommunerne og borgerne har brug for. Så lad os bekæmpe kriminalitet i stedet for at føre ideologisk krig mod private virksomheder. Hvis man driver et privat velfærdstilbud godt og effektivt og drager omsorg for udsatte borgere, er det helt legitimt at tjene penge på det. Vi har brug for mere privat foretagsomhed og næstekærlighed i velfærden. Vi har ikke brug for, at socialdemokrater ender med at kvæle alt velfærdsiværksætteri i forsøget på at ramme nogle af de brodne kar. #velfærd #privatesektor #socialpolitik
