Unfortunately, President Karol Nawrocki signed the law implementing part of the EU DSA. What is it about? The new regulations develop a system of "trusted reporting entities," whose reports are prioritized by platforms. The most controversial mechanism – the administrative blocking of content deemed illegal by an official – was transferred by Tusk's government to a separate project. They did not give up on it. The example of Hungary has shown how great a threat administrative censorship over the circulation of content online poses during a campaign. It is even more concerning that an election period is approaching in Poland, and Donald Tusk's officials are just receiving tools to interfere with public debate. The European Union created the DSA, and Donald Tusk's government is adding its own solutions to it – the boundaries of freedom of speech are shifting toward state administration. Here, we expected a firm "no" from the President of the Republic of Poland. And unfortunately, we did not receive that "no." What a shame. (translated)
