Elle présenterait des similitudes avec celle utilisée lors du massacre et doit faire l’objet d’expertises pour déterminer un éventuel lien avec la TUERIE DE CHEVALINE. Pour rappel, le 5 septembre 2012, le Britannique d'origine irakienne Saad al-Hilli, son épouse et sa belle-mère avaient été retrouvés criblés de balles dans leur voiture près de Chevaline. Un cycliste français, Sylvain Mollier, avait également été abattu. Les deux filles du couple avaient survécu : l’une, âgée de 7 ans, grièvement blessée, et l’autre, âgée de 4 ans, retrouvée indemne cachée sous les jambes de sa mère. Le tueur avait tiré 21 coups de feu en quelques minutes avant de disparaître.
