Kolaps orbánovských médií: stovky propuštěných, čtenost spadla na polovinu. Exministr vyzval miliardáře, ať dají novinářům práci. Ani ne dva měsíce není Fidesz u moci a jeho mediální tábor se rozpadá. Situace v médiích je tak špatná, že exministr pro evropské záležitosti Tibor Navracsics vyzval konzervativní miliardáře, aby média financovali, protože díky Orbánovým vládám získali velký majetek. Média byla z většiny závislá na podpoře vlády, která po volbách skončila. Navíc se od nich ve velkém odvrací čtenáři. Hned několik titulů už bylo úplně zrušeno: bulvární deník Bors, noviny Metropol nebo radikální orbánovský web Pesti srácok, který byl používán na nejtvrdší antikampaně a často prohrával soudy za vykonstruované pomluvy. A třeba týdeník Mandiner, populární vlajková loď Orbánova ekosystému, přišla o většinu zaměstnanců, minulé pondělí jich vydavatel propustil 60, zůstalo 48. Polovinu zaměstnanců propustily taky největší fideszovské noviny Magyar Nemzet, od srpna už nebudou vycházet denně, ale jako týdeník. Největší orbánovský web Origo propustil tři čtvrtiny zaměstnanců a jeho čtenost spadla na polovinu, podobně jako u webů Mandineru a Magyar Nemzetu. Největší vydavatel donedávna pro-vládních médií, firma Mediaworks, uzavřela loňský rok ve ztrátě 14 miliard forintů (959 milionů korun), a to navzdory zásobování státní reklamou. Právě do ní patří Origo a další tituly, které teď propouštějí. Ministr pro evropské záležitosti Orbánovy vlády Tibor Navracsics spolu s exposlankyní Orsolyou Ferencz napsali otevřený dopis maďarským miliardářům, kde je vyzývají, aby média dál platili. "Národní kapitalisté díky vládnímu programu zvýhodňování maďarských podniků nashromáždili obrovské majetky. (...) Proto se domníváme, že nyní mají povinnost pomoci a jako mecenáši financovat fungování konzervativních médií," píše se v dopisu. "Dále požadujeme, aby lidem z mediálního prostředí, kteří nyní přišli o práci, neprodleně nabídli zaměstnání a aby při řešení jejich situace převzali skutečnou odpovědnost!" Možná úplně skončí taky organizace Megafon, skrze kterou Fidesz vychovával a financoval sobě nakloněné influencery. Nejpopálárnější z nich, reportér Dániel Bohár, už si založil Substack a rychle nasbíral přes 3 000 předplatitelů. Ten je však spíš výjimkou, má přes 200 tisíc followerů, většina lidí z Orbánova mediálního světa si bude muset hledat jinou práci.
