Wann immer in Deutschland ein Politiker oder eine Behörde von „mehr Digitalisierung“ spricht, bekomme ich Panikattacken und Angstzustände. Denn dann ist klar, dass wieder irgendwelche Dilettanten versuchen werden, etwas umzusetzen, das am Ende mehr Arbeit, mehr Aufwand und mehr Frust für alle bedeutet – insbesondere für die Kundschaft. Vor einigen Monaten habe ich ja schon bei der Deutschen Botschaft in Wien einen Termin ausgemacht, um einen neuen Personalausweis zu beantragen. Das geht heutzutage natürlich nur noch online und ist ungefähr so kompliziert wie die Planung eines Börsengangs oder das Genehmigungsverfahren eines Atomkraftwerks. Jedenfalls sollte man sich für den Tag der Terminbuchung nichts anderes vornehmen. Den Termin selbst bekommt man dann allerdings trotzdem erst in sechs Monaten. Nun musste ich den Termin umbuchen, weil mir kurzfristig etwas dazwischengekommen ist. Ich hatte schon wieder Schweißausbrüche. Zurecht, wie ich feststellen musste. Denn natürlich bekommt man nicht einfach den nächsten freien Termin genannt – wahrscheinlich wieder erst in vielen Monaten. Nein, man bekommt auch keine Monatsübersicht, wo kämen wir da hin! Stattdessen muss man sich mühsam durch jeden einzelnen verdammten Tag klicken und bei jedem Tag mühsam nach unten scrollen, um herauszufinden, ob irgendwo noch ein Termin frei ist. Bis man den ersten freien Termin in einigen Monaten findet, bedeutet das: knapp zweihundert Klicks. Aber, denkt sich der schlaue deutsche Beamte: Es muss ja sicher sein! Datenschutz und so! Also baut man ein, dass man alle fünf Klicks per „Captcha“ – das steht für „Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart“ – durch die Eingabe einer schwer lesbaren Buchstaben-Zahlen-Kombination bestätigen muss, dass man ein Mensch ist und kein Computer. Welchem Trottel fällt so etwas ein? Und welcher weitere Trottel genehmigt so etwas und lässt das durchgehen? Sind die alle irre geworden?
