Bally Bagayoko welcomed the adoption by the National Assembly of a bill aimed at making the aides for students with disabilities (AESH) permanent employees. He congratulated deputies Nadège Abomangoli and Murielle Lepvraud and noted that the bill proposed the creation of a body of civil servants, the permanent employment without competition of AESH already in position, a year of training, and better recognition of working hours. Bagayoko believed that these measures were important for the professional conditions of AESH and school inclusion, particularly in Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte. He attributed this progress to years of mobilization by AESH, families, unions, and the educational community, as well as to the efforts of parents to obtain suitable support for their children. He finally indicated that the bill was to be examined by the Senate and urged continued mobilization. #AESH #SaintDenis #Pierrefitte #QuartiersPopulaires #ÉcoleInclusive #Handicap #ÉgalitéDesDroits #Éducation #AESH #ÉcoleInclusive #ÉgalitéDesDroits (translated)

Bally Bagayoko praised a statement published by Politis following the murder of Pengo Bossio Wangi, aged 26, in Trappes. He wrote that it alerted to the normalization of racist speeches and the collective responsibility in the face of the rise of hatred. He deemed that comments fueling contempt, stigmatization, and dehumanization could not be considered trivial, and that the media, political leaders, and citizens had a responsibility in defending human dignity and coexistence. He called for not remaining silent or getting used to racism and hate speech. Bagayoko also commended the organization of a gathering by the municipality of Saint-Denis / Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, at 5:30 PM in front of the town hall of Saint-Denis, 2 place de Caquet, 93200 Saint-Denis. He invited the public to mobilize to denounce racism and defend the values of liberty, equality, fraternity, and solidarity. #ContreLeRacisme #ContreLaHaine #Solidarité #DignitéHumaine #SaintDenis #PierrefitteSurSeine #ContreLeRacisme #ContreLaHaine #Solidarité (translated)

Bally Bagayoko expressed the solidarity of the City of Saint-Denis – Pierrefitte-sur-Seine with the municipalities affected by violence and damage, notably Limoges, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux, Calais, and Grenoble. He extended his support to the victims, the injured, their families, as well as to the residents, elected officials, agents, and traders. He condemned the violence and damage and reaffirmed his commitment to republican values, respect for people and property, and the freedom to protest peacefully. He specified that the city would not organize a gathering as part of the AMF call but would prioritize local actions with traders and youth, while the municipal police would be mobilized for public tranquility. Bagayoko called for de-escalation and stated that the situation required concrete political and social responses from the President of the Republic and the government. According to him, the response could not be solely security-oriented but must address inequalities and precariousness. He also warned that gatherings should not justify a disengagement of the State nor the transfer of its responsibilities to municipalities. Finally, he supported the demands of high school students, university students, and others calling for measures against the cost of living. #Solidarité #JusticeSociale #Désescalade (translated)

Bally Bagayoko described several local initiatives in Brittany: a flea market in Bulat-Pestivien, a municipality in Trémargat that governed with the population through referendums and open commissions, and the organic farm of Bodinel, where Léa and Morvan cultivated and made bread. In Saint-Adrien, he met people who supported undocumented and exiled individuals. He said he observed, as in Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte, that residents felt forgotten and that hate merchants exploited this void. According to him, pitting young people from working-class neighborhoods against Breton farmers was a mistake: they had the same adversaries and the same hopes. He added that abstention and the far right could not be fought from television studios, but by engaging with others. He believed that rural areas and working-class neighborhoods spoke with one voice, thanked Murielle and those who welcomed him, and asserted that 2027 was being built right now. #Solidarité #Ruralité #SouverainetéAlimentaire (translated)

Bally Bagayoko indicated that students, teachers, and educational assistants from Paul-Éluard high school had gathered on Thursday, October 15, to defend equality of rights in education. According to him, the mobilization was taking place without violence or degradation, no projectiles had been used, and classes remained accessible. He added that some young people had brought sound equipment to dance. The mayor reported that around 10:30 am, law enforcement had used batons and tear gas without warning, according to the elected officials present. He claimed that several officers were not wearing their RIO number and that some were masked. Nesrine Gharbi, a municipal councilor, reportedly identified herself as an elected official in an attempt to de-escalate the situation before being gassed in the face at point-blank range and then struck, according to her account. The municipality provided her with support. Bagayoko specified that five people were in police custody. He also reported that around 1 p.m., a student fearing arrest had sought refuge in the school. The principal had reportedly held him in his office before police officers from the BAC entered the premises to take him away. Teachers and educational assistants had reportedly intervened. Bagayoko attributed the escalation to an intervention he described as brutal and disproportionate in the face of young people protesting non-violently. He believed that those who decided on this intervention should be held accountable and lamented the lack of a call for de-escalation from the state. The mayor stated that he had spoken by phone with the commissioner and the deputy prefect. He had asked them to put an end to the escalation and to provide explanations regarding the use of force in front of the high school, the conditions of the arrests, the retention of the student by the principal, and the entry of the police into the establishment. The city demanded that responsibilities be established and that everyone's rights be respected. Bagayoko defended the school as a place of learning, protection, and dialogue, and asserted that the demands of the high school students called for political responses: more staff, better study conditions, and increased investment in education in Seine-Saint-Denis. He added that Saint-Denis–Pierrefitte stood alongside the mobilized students, educational teams, and families. #Éducation #ÉgalitéDesDroits #Mobilisation (translated)

Bally Bagayoko thanked the people who had followed his live stream the day before and indicated that the video was available online: https://t.co/0kkR88yEFg. He had listed the topics addressed, especially regarding municipal life and transportation: the return of the market at place Jean-Jaurès at 23:18, parking, the pedestrianization of the city center, and the exit from the A1 at avenue Marcel-Cachin at 24:52, then the relationship with the municipal police at 33:34. He also mentioned bus 153 at 41:38, a potential bus between Plaine (RER D) and the city center at 1:03:56, bike paths at 47:29 and scooters on rue de la République at 48:22. Other listed themes concerned engagement and projects for the LGBTQI+ community (26:49), the controversy over female genital mutilation and abstention during a motion at the municipal council (28:23), as well as the change of structure for youth animators "every 5 years" (32:22). Bagayoko had also listed questions about the reporting application of Plaine Commune (35:13), access to property (36:02), the Irène-Popard gymnasium, out of service for 2 years (39:20), a request for a meeting from the Gaston-Dourdin neighborhood (40:31), free zones for businesses (43:40), mold in public housing (45:08), and work-study programs in journalism for a young person from Saint-Denis (46:09). His list also included the cancellation of elections in Vénissieux and Vaulx-en-Velin (42:45), the models that had shaped him (50:27), wild mechanics (52:02), the return of agents to Pierrefitte (54:38), and the development of a square, the name of which was cautiously indicated as Geyter, to make it accessible to children (55:31). He finally mentioned registering on the electoral rolls before December 31 (57:24), fear in front of police officers (59:18), the bill for property damage sent by Valérie Pécresse (1:00:57), the mayor of Nice identifying him on Facebook (1:02:42), child protection and its premises (1:04:35), the single-parent family card (1:06:54), a visit to Saint-Rémi, in an abandoned residence (1:08:07), the care of a disabled child for 8 hours and 30 minutes per week (1:09:02) and the cities in 93 where to buy housing (1:10:40). He also mentioned a question about how to join LFI from Saint-Ouen (49:53). #SaintOuen #Élections #Communauté (translated)

Bally Bagayoko stated that in Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte, he saw families who counted every euro, retirees who were giving up on heating, and young people told that there was no money. He contrasted these situations with record dividends and the increase in wealth for the rich, believing that the crisis benefited some and penalized others. He claimed that this system was protected, particularly by the concentration of media ownership in the hands of billionaires. According to him, the debate focused on the people receiving aid rather than on tax exiles. He advocated for taxing superprofits, pluralism in information, and reinvestment in public services, adding that change would come from working-class neighborhoods and the people who keep the country running. #JusticeSociale #Inégalités #Politique (translated)

Bally Bagayoko explained that his group abstained during the vote on a wish presented by the opposition elected officials from the Socialist, Environmentalists, and Citizens group at the municipal council. The text focused on the protection of girls and women against excision and female genital mutilation, as well as the adoption of a comprehensive law against sexist and sexual violence (SSV). He said that his group supported the fight against mutilations and reminded that nearly 500 patients received follow-up each year in the municipality. He also praised the work of the Women's House, Delafontaine Hospital, and various associations, and asked the State to strengthen the resources allocated for prevention and medical follow-up. According to Bally Bagayoko, the abstention concerned the request to quickly adopt the law on SSV. He indicated that the bill had been significantly amended in committee at the National Assembly the week of the municipal council, and its content remained uncertain. His group had asked to remove references to this law from the wish in order to be able to vote in favor of the text on the fight against excision, but the opposition had refused, he wrote. He believed that this refusal had hindered the pursuit of an agreement and denounced a political instrumentalization of the issue. The group ultimately abstained in order not to block the wish, which was adopted, while not supporting all of its content, he noted. #Excision #DroitsDesFemmes #LutteContreLesViolences (translated)

Bally Bagayoko presented the launch of the Hip-Hop and Urban Cultures Festival of the New Town of Saint-Denis–Pierrefitte-sur-Seine as an evening focused on creation, commitment, and hope. He said that the city aimed to maintain a strong cultural ambition despite a difficult political and social context, which weakened local communities and tested cultural policies. He described culture as a right and a means of emancipation, and hip-hop and urban cultures as spaces for expression, encounter, and solidarity. According to him, the evening also allowed for affirming support for the mobilization of high school students on October 17. Bagayoko advocated for a convergence of struggles and generations around social justice, equality, dignity, and access to culture. #HipHop #CulturesUrbaines #SaintDenis #PierrefitteSurSeine #CulturePourToutesEtTous #Jeunesse #ConvergenceDesLuttes #FaireRenaîtreLEspoir #HipHop #CulturesUrbaines #Culture (translated)

Bally Bagayoko wrote that he stood alongside the youth in the town hall square of Saint-Denis. He indicated that the high school students from the city had been mobilizing for more than a week to demand teachers in front of each class, dignified buildings, and class sizes that allow for learning, as well as equal opportunities. He denounced the response to their anger, mentioning the use of tear gas, arrests, and police custody, as well as a search for scapegoats rather than solutions. He also criticized the media treatment of the mobilization and called on journalists to report on it seriously. Bagayoko said that the young people were right to fight for equality and called for continued mobilization alongside them on Tuesday, October 6. #SaintDenis #Jeunesse #Éducation (translated)

Bally Bagayoko said he was caricatured and that some media attributed intentions and statements to him that he had not made. He relayed the interventions of Isabelle Saporta and Alain Bauer, whom he thanked for their honesty. He asserted that combating violence among youth required not to feed it with stigmatizing words, policies of abandonment, or contempt. He stated that he prioritized listening and dialogue, an approach he has indicated he has been implementing for years in neighborhoods and in Saint-Denis–Pierrefitte, with educators, leaders, associations, and youth services. Bagayoko criticized those who, according to him, prioritized buzz and escalation over prevention, blaming culprits without addressing the causes, which he cited as relegation, the weakening of public services, and the lack of prospects for a generation. He said he refused to reduce young people to mere incidents and advocated for firmness against violence as well as against abandonment. According to him, lasting tranquility relied on human presence, dialogue, and social justice rather than on slogans. #JusticeSociale #NonViolence #Dialogue (translated)
