Jean Bexon reported that Raphaël Arnault's lawyer said that his client did not seek to avoid the delivery of a summons, as he would only have learned afterwards about the mobilization of four agents. He also relayed the testimony of a passenger on the same train, according to which Raphaël Arnault had kept his hood over his face and looked at his phone upon arriving at the station. The passenger said he waited for the carriage to empty before getting out, and then seemed to have mixed with second-class travelers, whose clothing was lighter. According to his account, first-class passengers wore dark gray clothing, and the SNCF had let both carriages out through the same exit.
