Sempre fui militante, sempre fui ativista e participei de mobilizações enormes durante todos esses anos. Não preciso ficar enumerando tudo o que já fiz ou provar para ninguém o meu compromisso com essa luta. Por isso, considero uma enorme falta de respeito quando algumas companheiras não conseguem compreender o peso de um tratamento de câncer. Meu tratamento está consumindo meu corpo. Eu preciso lutar diariamente para conseguir atravessar tudo isso. São duas quimioterapias por semana, estou chegando à décima segunda e ainda tenho pela frente mais dois meses da chamada quimioterapia vermelha. É pesado demais. Mesmo assim, continuo aqui. Então eu peço, por favor: compreensão e respeito. Porque eu estive nessa luta todos os dias, durante anos, pelo presidente Lula, pela esquerda e pela democracia. E sim, a gente vai lutar para eleger Lula no primeiro turno. Ter medo não significa desistir. Ter insegurança não significa deixar de acreditar.
