Industrie wordt overladen met energiekosten, klimaatlasten en regelgeving terwijl Amerikaanse en Aziatische concurrenten rustig marktaandeel overnemen. Landbouw wordt behandeld alsof voedselproductie een hinderlijke activiteit is. Gezinnen krijgen de gevolgen uiteindelijk rechtstreeks doorgerekend in energie, wonen, vervoer en dagelijkse boodschappen. En nu opnieuw die gasfactuur. Geen abstract debat in Brussel. Geen theoretisch model. Gewoon keiharde euro’s die uit de rekening van Europese gezinnen verdwijnen als gevolg van politieke keuzes. Het wordt daarom grotesk om dit allemaal nog te verkopen als bescherming van Europa.
