Nee vriend, hier kom je niet mee weg. De mensen van 'tScheldt, allemaal vrijwilligers, zijn onmiddellijk de juiste richting uitgestuurd door ZET, de Zogenaamde Eigenaar van Tscheldt, iemand die ooit 10 jaar bij The Wall Street Journal heeft gewerkt. Terwijl de Regimepers absoluut als eerste de weduwe wilde interviewen, de dag van het ongeval (!), de vriend van de overleden begeleidster en het ene na het andere kind, kregen de mensen van 'tScheldt de suggestie van ZET naar de chauffeurs te bellen die in Buggenhout rijden voor De Lijn, de onderaannemers, maar ook de Taxi's, de Ubers, de vuilkar en de Groendienst. Want chauffeurs kennen chauffeurs had ZET gezegd. Daarnaast werd er direct gezocht naar collega busbegeleiders van de overleden Anke. 'tScheldt wist als eerste dat de 'verkeerde' busbegeleidster op het busje zat. Na een dag wisten we bij 'tScheldt al hoe de vork in de steel zat. Op dat moment verklaarde de Regimepers de chauffeur heilig en kregen we verslagen van zijn begrafenis in de gazetten alsof het een staatsbegrafenis was. Wij verzamelden ondertussen de ene na de andere getuigenis vanuit de sector en onder busbegeleiders. We hebben vorige week twee mensen gehad van 'tScheldt die de hele nacht hebben doorgewerkt toen er om 01 uur een ultieme getuigenis binnenkwam, wat na verificatie en contact met de bron leidde tot een finaal artikel om 6 uur 's morgens. Wij gaan alle tijd en energie die we hier in staken niet door een snul als u laten bevuilen omdat u goedkoop wil scoren. 'tScheldt heeft zich niet geprostitueerd aan het verdriet van weduwe en kinderen zoals uw geliefde gazetten en uw leugenVRT. 'tScheldt is loepzuiver naar de juiste mensen gegaan met maar 1 focus: wat bezielde de chauffeur. De Regimepers concentreerde zich op emotie en folklore. Tot spijt van wie het benijdt, maar wij hadden een focus en wij hebben gewoon harder gewerkt dan de regimepersmuskieten op de payroll van gesubsidieerde multinationals. Elke letter die we schreven was gedubbelcheckt en we beschikten over meerdere niet-tegengestelde bronnen.
