Recruté par France Inter pour un éditorial politique hebdomadaire, la présence du directeur adjoint de Valeurs actuelles - pourtant reconnu pour ses analyses et son sens de la mesure - a déclenché deux journées de grève et la menace d’une troisième. La direction a tenté de résister avant de supprimer la chronique et de proposer un débat contradictoire. Charles Sapin a finalement renoncé. DU DROIT DE GRÈVE AU DROIT DE VETO Les syndicats ont évidemment le droit de contester une décision. Mais ici, la contestation ne portait même pas sur ce que Charles Sapin aurait pu dire : c’est sa présence qui était jugée inacceptable. Un représentant syndical expliquait ainsi qu’il ne fallait pas accorder de « brevet de respectabilité » à Valeurs actuelles. Depuis quand les syndicats d’un média public décident-ils quelles opinions sont suffisamment « respectables » pour avoir droit d’antenne ? Le contraste est d’autant plus frappant que Radio France accueille quotidiennement des chroniqueurs et intervenants défendant des positions très marquées à gauche, voire d'extrême gauche, sans que leur présence provoque indignations, grèves ou demandes d’éviction. UN PLURALISME À GÉOMÉTRIE VARIABLE La question n’est donc pas de censurer les uns pour répondre à la censure des autres, mais de comprendre pourquoi certaines opinions semblent naturellement légitimes sur le service public quand d’autres suffisent à disqualifier ceux qui les portent. Pourquoi « la macronie » ou la droite républicaine sont-elles régulièrement raillées ou disqualifiées dans de nombreux programmes sans que cela semble émouvoir ni la direction ni les syndicats ? Pourquoi tant de chroniqueurs et d’humoristes délivrent-ils, émission après émission, des opinions politiques très majoritairement marquées à gauche, sans susciter les mêmes protestations ?
