A University of North Florida poll found that 68% of Florida voters disapprove of data centers being built in their area, including 84% of Democrats and 52% of Republicans. Perhaps most important in numerous closely contested races, 76% of voters with no party affiliation also oppose them.
Because the university is not immune to the housing problem. And when a student cannot afford to live where they would like to study, the university ceases to be a driver of prosperity and equality of opportunity. "Because the university is not immune to the housing problem. And when a student cannot afford to live where they would like to study, the university ceases to be a driver of prosperity and equality of opportunity," Sánchez pointed out during the signing of the declaration of the draft Royal Decree of the University Student Statute, which will also be approved tomorrow. Everyone deserves a university that understands them, accompanies them, and also protects them. "Not all students arrive at university under the same conditions, nor do they all follow the same path. There are students who, upon leaving class, go straight to work; others have to balance exams with taking care of their children or their parents, and some, unfortunately, face situations of harassment. Everyone deserves a university that understands them, accompanies them, and also protects them," Sánchez argued. #ViviendaUniversitaria #Estudiantes #Educación (translated)

I want to send a message to the people affected by the disaster. A message of solidarity and total support, and also of alert, because the emergency continues. The priority is to protect lives, and for this reason, I ask the population to seek information through verified communication channels, avoid moving around, and follow the instructions. This is the message launched by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez today at the Palace of Moncloa, at the opening of an event for the presentation of the signing of the Statute of University Students. #Alluvione #Emergenza #DanaAdam (translated)

This is a huge budget item, and to be honest, I lack the imagination that the amounts mentioned here can be offset by efficiency measures from other universities. Whether or how many doctor positions at the Vienna General Hospital, which is staffed 100% by the Medical University of Vienna, could be eliminated given the current budget is "unclear" for Müller. #UniBudget #Personalabbau #Bildungspolitik (translated)
