Ivan Bartoš requested the inclusion of a proposal for the resignation of Minister of Agriculture Martin Šebestyán as the first item on the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies. According to him, the reason was the permanent and unjustified support of Agrofert at the expense of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Bartoš stated that Šebestyán, who was nominated by SPD, previously disbursed subsidies as the head of the Agricultural Fund during the first premiership of Andrej Babiš in violation of laws. He claimed that the conflict of interest of Andrej Babiš from 2017-2021 was confirmed by the highest instances of Czech courts in individual cases. He accused the minister of deliberately delaying the recovery of improperly received subsidies from companies in the Agrofert holding and continued to provide support to these companies from national funds, even though the European Commission had raised concerns about the situation. He added that the European Public Prosecutor's Office was dealing with the procedure and that Šebestyán ignored the statements of the European Commission to Transparency International, which stated that Babiš did not resolve the conflict of interest by investing in the fund.
