Ivan Bartoš stated that other officials should testify before the police and the European Prosecutor's Office, which he believes is investigating a "criminal network." Otherwise, he warned, they risk ending up as accomplices to fraud in the Čapí hnízdo case, like Nagyová. Bartoš added that Andrej Babiš was involved in this case because it directly concerned him, while in the current situation he can claim that officials were making the decisions. https://t.co/8qRpexfPSm #Babiš #podvod #EvropskáProkuratura (translated)

Ivan Bartoš described Andrej Babiš's reaction to the possibility of the United Kingdom returning to the EU as another international disgrace and sharply portrayed Babiš as an Eastern oligarch focused on business. He wrote that he could have chosen a number of other responses, remained silent, or mentioned the defense and conditions for the 40,000 Czechs living and working in Britain. According to Bartoš, instead he said: "We need more money." https://t.co/VQOFhFykzP #VelkáBritánie #EU #Babiš (translated)

Ivan Bartoš requested the inclusion of a proposal for the resignation of Minister of Agriculture Martin Šebestyán as the first item on the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies. According to him, the reason was the permanent and unjustified support of Agrofert at the expense of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Bartoš stated that Šebestyán, who was nominated by SPD, previously disbursed subsidies as the head of the Agricultural Fund during the first premiership of Andrej Babiš in violation of laws. He claimed that the conflict of interest of Andrej Babiš from 2017-2021 was confirmed by the highest instances of Czech courts in individual cases. He accused the minister of deliberately delaying the recovery of improperly received subsidies from companies in the Agrofert holding and continued to provide support to these companies from national funds, even though the European Commission had raised concerns about the situation. He added that the European Public Prosecutor's Office was dealing with the procedure and that Šebestyán ignored the statements of the European Commission to Transparency International, which stated that Babiš did not resolve the conflict of interest by investing in the fund. Bartoš called on Šebestyán to take action or resign immediately. In conclusion, he stated that the proposal had been vetoed. #politika #korupce #ČR (translated)

Ivan Bartoš wrote that Andrej Babiš failed to mention that during his first term as prime minister, Agrofert received a total of 23.5 billion in subsidies and public contracts. He also claimed that the company is now again drawing money in violation of Czech laws and European Union rules. Bartoš stated that Babiš paid himself a dividend of 4 billion 250 million from Agrofert before the elections, even though he previously claimed that the company did not belong to him. He added that EU money should help balance domestic and European disparities and support innovations and people. He described the recovery of improperly obtained funds as an obligation of the ministers and officials of Babiš's government. #Babiš #Agrofert #dotace (translated)

Ivan Bartoš labeled motorists as "Klaus's" and wrote that he is waiting for them to start talking about eugenics. He urged Andrej Babiš not to allow them to interfere with the education of children in the Czech Republic; he used a derogatory term and an insult with Nazi undertones. He added that despite reservations about some members of Babiš's government, he considered Robert Plaga to be one of the best ministers of education he could remember. #vzdělávání #Eugenika #politika (translated)

Ivan Bartoš stated that the Pirates won a dispute with Čepro, which he claimed had long refused to disclose how many contracts were awarded to Agrofert without a tender. He described the amount as extraordinarily high and asserted that this was precisely why Čepro kept it secret. He mentioned a figure of 19 billion for Andrej Babiš and claimed that the contracts without a tender were covered by the antimonopoly office and were not addressed by the then minister from ODS, Zbyněk Stanjura. Bartoš wrote that Stanjura rejected the request for a tender and that the planned change at the antimonopoly office, as well as the new law he prepared with experts, met with resistance from Martin Kupka, Stanjura, and Pavel Blažek. He also mentioned Petr Mlsna, Petr Nečas, Petr Fiala, Martin Kuba, Petr Bendl, and Tomáš Chalupa and claimed that the head of the antimonopoly office was appointed without a proper tender by Andrej Babiš and Miloš Zeman. In conclusion, he recommended the show "Noty od Mlsny" and jokingly suggested eating a piece of black coal before watching it. https://t.co/0YQzdjtzQu #politika #AntimonopolníÚřad #soutěžení (translated)

Ivan Bartoš was asked by Půra whether he criticizes the Pirates for the payments to councilors, which he believes are also received by politicians from other parties. He also reminded that some Pirates had worked for the party for ten years in civilian jobs before being elected, and that some earned more in their civilian jobs than in politics. Bartoš stated that the Pirate campaigns are not sponsored by people connected to China and Russia, Czech mafia, or fossil oligarchs. He also criticized Půra and DataRun for being paid to set the agenda, and labeled his interest as curable. Půra was also referred to as a "hybrid journalist." He added that it was fundraising for a transparent account intended for professional work and its marketing. According to Bartoš, Půr could have simply said that they should not count on him. #politika #Piráti #transparency (translated)

Ivan Bartoš stated that more than two years ago, as a minister, he proposed a comprehensive reform of the Office for the Protection of Competition. According to him, the office should serve as a tool for powerful individuals to influence public contracts and the flow of billions into their pockets rather than having a control function. He cited its head, Mlsna, whom he described as a favorite of Miloš Zeman and a friend of Zbyněk Stanjura and Blažek. Bartoš wrote that the ODS (Civic Democratic Party) stopped the reform and he subsequently left the government. According to him, the reform was prepared by experts and was meant to bring the Czech Republic closer to Western democracies. Bartoš referred to an index of oligarchs' influence on politics, which he said the magazine The Economist ranked the Czech Republic second only to Russia. He added that in the previous government only the Pirates wanted to address the issue, but Stanjura blocked their efforts. Bartoš also stated that the Pirates have now won the dispute with the company ČEPRO, which had to provide information about contracts for Agrofert. According to him, the company awarded contracts worth over 10 billion directly to Agrofert without competition, and another 9 billion without competition during the government of Petr Fiala. Bartoš added that it is necessary to fight against corruption in the state and that he will continue to do so. #korupce #politik #reforma (translated)

Ivan Bartoš stated that the Pirates helped stop the payout of 68 million crowns to Agrofert, but according to him, it now concerns another billions. He called on Minister Šebestyán, whom he referred to as a person appointed by Andrej Babiš, to start demanding 7 billion crowns. He claimed that Šebestyán, as the former head of SZIF, had himself written in an analysis that the state should recover this money, but after joining Babiš's government, he changed his stance. Bartoš added that the Pirates will not let it go like that. #Agrofert #Babiš #Piráti (translated)

Ivan Bartoš stated that due to the conflict of interest of Andrej Babiš, eight subsidy projects of Agrofert worth 68 million have ended. According to him, seven of them were terminated by SZIF and one was withdrawn by the company itself. He attributed the saving of public funds to the work of the Pirate Party. He said he offered Babiš two options: sell Agrofert or not be the prime minister. He added that, in his opinion, one must fight against oligarchization every day. #Babiš #Agrofert #politika (translated)

Ivan Bartoš appreciated the approach of the Army of the Czech Republic and the Chief of General Staff General Hlaváč. He stated that Hlaváč said the army does not intend to lend its name or prestige to events associated with people who question Euro-Atlantic commitments. Bartoš supported such an approach and thanked for it. At the same time, he stated that he expects it at events organized by people like Markvart, whom he derogatorily referred to as a collaborator of the StB. #ArmádaČR #GenerálHlaváč #EuroatlantickéZávazky (translated)

Ivan Bartoš wrote that he is permanently saying goodbye to Fífa as a climate envoy, as stated by the prosecutor, which he described as fair. He added that he recently saw him exiting through the back door of a white Tesla. If that was supposed to be a sign of self-reflection and repentance, Fífa was on the right track, but according to Bartoš, he should no longer be behind the wheel. #klima #politika #sebereflexe (translated)

Ivan Bartoš wrote that Andrej Babiš and his ministers promised cheap energy in the Chamber and claimed that they had the situation under control. Boris Šťastný from the Motorists supposedly promised that the government would not increase people's living costs, and discussed with Bartoš on CNN Prima in the evening. Bartoš connected Šťastný's performance with what he referred to as a Pyrrhic victory for the Motorists: according to him, they failed to manage Andrej Babiš but confirmed trust in the government. As a counterargument, he mentioned that the recommended prices from the Energy Regulatory Office for new and refixed contracts increased by 14% for electricity and by 20% for gas in the month. He added that the Pirates presented a nine-point Energy Security Manifesto in the spring, which he claimed included reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels, developing domestic sources and renewable energy, savings for families and businesses, better connections with neighbors, and assisting people in times of sharp price increases. Bartoš also wrote that a smaller dependence on gas and oil from unstable parts of the world would limit the impact of wars and geopolitical crises on energy bills. #energie #bezpečnost #politika (translated)

Ivan Bartoš ironically labeled ANO as the "Association of Unacknowledged Dwellings" and claimed that extensive dealings were happening around apartments. He mentioned rents of 3,200 or 4,500 CZK per month, commercial sub-leasing of municipal apartments, and apartments from Finep at dumping prices. Engineers and military medics have been waiting for protected vehicles since 2018. The Ministry of Defense has now canceled the tender for 24.7 billion CZK. Just a month ago, it claimed that it was ongoing, and the explanation fit into one general sentence. Equipment for the army needs to be purchased quickly, cheaply, and efficiently. This is neither fast nor efficient, so in the end, we will have to deal with it later and at a very high cost, which is unacceptable. I will immediately submit an interpellation to Minister Zůna and we will open the topic in the Defense Committee. We will again lack the capability required in NATO Capability Targets 2025 for many years and this is unacceptable. #obrana #armáda #NATO (translated)

Dnes začíná schůze o nedůvěře vládě Andreje Babiše. Výsledek si nebudu nalhávat. Opozice má 92 poslanců a k pádu kabinetu potřebuje 101 hlasů.

Předseda Pirátů Zdeněk Hřib oznámil, že analytický tým společně s poslankyní a místopředsedkyní Česká pirátská strana Kateřina Stojanová shromažďuje dostupné podklady a svědectví.
