Οταν πήγα εκεί, ολίγον τρακαρισμένος ομολογώ από όσα είχαν προηγηθεί, με αγκάλιασε πήρε το μικρόφωνο και μίλησε με γλυκά λόγια καλωσορίσματος για μένα. Μου έδωσε δύναμη να συνεχίσω την πολιτική μου προσπάθεια και μερικά χρόνια μετά όταν ανακοίνωσα την υποψηφιότητά μου για Αρχηγός, ήρθε και έβαλε την πρώτη από τις πενήντα υπογραφές που χρειαζόμουν. Όλοι ήξεραν έκτοτε και πόσο με αγαπούσε η Βάσω Φιλιππάτου αλλά και πόσο την αγαπούσα εγώ. Χθες μόλις το μεσημέρι μιλάγαμε και σχεδιάζαμε τις προεκλογικές μου ομιλίες, παρά τα αρκετά προβλήματα υγείας που είχε, πάντα αγαπούσε τη Νέα Δημοκρατία. Και ξαφνικά σήμερα στις 03:00 τα ξημερώματα έφυγε….Βάσω δεν είσαι εντάξει με άφησες μόνο μου αυτή τη φορά που σε χρειαζόμουν τόσο πολύ. Αλλά σε ευχαριστώ για όλα και κυρίως για την άδολη, χωρίς ανταλλάγματα πραγματική σου αγάπη, υποστήριξη και φιλία.
