Guille G. Alfonsín described the presentation of the Tesla Roadster as a very effective advertising maneuver to showcase the company's technical capabilities and attract attention, although he noted that the vehicle presented did not match the 2+2 convertible electric sports car reserved by customers in 2017. According to what he wrote, the model had initially been promised for 2020 and, nine years later, Tesla announced another two years of waiting. Alfonsín highlighted the engineering of the demonstration but warned that marketing a vehicle capable of controlled flight would require aeronautical certifications and operating authorizations, in addition to road homologation. He also raised doubts about the use on open roads of fans that generate aerodynamic lift by sucking air underneath the vehicle, due to the risk of expelling dust, gravel, and stones at other users. The engineer considered the demonstration technically notable, but questioned the commercial value of the product and the delay for those who had reserved the car. He stated that Elon Musk continued to make promises and delivered only a part of what was announced. Alfonsín said he would analyze the technical aspects in the PowerArt videocast and in upcoming videos. #Tesla #Roadster #Ingeniería (translated)

Bart Nijman wrote that Dutch media in 2015 portrayed participants in the Ukrainian referendum, including GeenPeil, as antidemocratic and pro-Putin. Nevertheless, he called the referendum a great success. In 2017, according to him, newspapers and parts of the NPO tried to boycott GeenStijl but were unsuccessful. He also accused the media of labeling critics of Greta Thunberg as climate deniers in 2019 and of presenting support for Black Lives Matter as a civic duty in 2020, while according to him, Zwarte Piet was pressured with unfounded accusations of racism. During the coronavirus pandemic, according to Nijman, the media shielded criticism of the measures and labeled those who deviated as irrational. He argued that this permanently damaged the credibility of the press and trust in its fairness and objectivity. From 2021, he stated that media opposed the farmers' movement with reporting on nitrogen that journalists did not understand sufficiently, and starting in 2022, labeled critics of Ukrainian accession to the EU or NATO's contribution to the escalation as pro-Putin. Nijman wrote that after October 7, 2023, many media condemned Israel and Jews in general and based reporting on genocide and starvation on lies. According to him, the media concealed the reasons for Hamas' attack and subordinated facts to information from NGOs, including Oxfam. He also claimed that journalists who disagreed were not offering enough public dissent, partly because they had to save for a mandatory heat pump in 2028. Furthermore, Nijman accused the media of shifting their own problems onto disinformation and Elon Musk and of leaving X for their own, small online environment. According to him, DPG, RTL, and the NPO imposed standards that many Dutch people did not conform to. He wrote that readers should hate the mainstream media even more and asserted that the free press had again chosen the wrong side on October 7. #Media #Nederland #VrijePers (translated)

I would have been really happy if Ljubicic had taken Cahill's place. On paper, he was (is, always will be) the perfect fit. In terms of mentality, rationality, and the way he reads tennis, he has always spoken a language very similar to that of Sinner. But this was precisely what did not persuade me completely. In my mind, therefore it counts for zero, I would like a gram of chaos within the order, to explore all the margin that Jannik still has. In my opinion, it is bigger than one might think. Good luck to Felix, he made a great move! #tennis #sinner #faa #tennis #sinner #sport (translated)

Warnings are that the high price of gas may persist for years, although the sharpest phase of the energy crisis may quietly retreat, and this depends on both the geopolitical situations in the Middle East and securing new and stable energy sources in Europe. #Energiakriis #GaasiAeg #LähisIdaGeopoliitika (translated)
