Lucas pointed out Leo Jardim's failures as the semifinal of the Copa do Brasil in 2024, the final of the 2025 edition, and the semifinal of the Sudamericano in 2026. He blamed the coach for the results and said that his last chance for redemption would be to win the Copa do Brasil that year. Otherwise, he advocated for his departure, stating that Jardim should not be the main coach in a project for the institutional recovery of the club. Lucas also said he was fed up with the coach and that his critics were right from the beginning. #CopaDoBrasil #Futebol #LeoJardim (translated)
Tiago Barbosa wrote that the central issue was not to determine who won the debate nor to evaluate the format, but to reflect on what he considered the failure of Brazilian journalism over the decades, which had led a statesman to debate with a person whom he referred to in a derogatory manner. He also questioned where society had failed, as a civilization, by not preventing what he described as political degeneration. #debate #jornalismo #politica (translated)

I think broadcasting the execution live for everyone to see would have been a way to deter the world from seeing how America deals with terrorists and scum like Hasan, but many very good people with good intentions would prefer not to see him die in a live broadcast or on any other device. Donald Trump announced on Thursday the cancellation of the broadcast that was being planned, precisely one week after the U.S. Secretary of Defense made the announcement in that regard. Investigators concluded that Hasan's emails were not a threat. This assessment by the Obama Administration was later considered a key failure of the intelligence services. Caio Coppolla wrote that the PT had failed, in May 2025, in its attempt to win over evangelicals. In a post associated with October 12, the day of Our Lady of Aparecida, he stated that, on the 26th, the party resorted to fear and lies to sow discord among Christians. https://t.co/xRF9SUWK2l https://t.co/Rmy29qvdpB #NostraAparecida #PolíticaBrasil #Evangélicos (translated)
Pri wrote that Meta had countered Lula's campaign and classified the accusations of electoral interference as "simply false." According to her, the company claimed that the technical problems did not only affect Brazil. Pri also stated that the PT was looking for scapegoats and excuses for what it called a failure on social media. https://t.co/ER93kkcIlM #Lula #PT #Eleições2022 (translated)
Janoninho stated that Flávio Bolsonaro's plan would weaken the Brazilian economy and mainly affect workers' budgets. He said that cuts could compromise services and programs such as health posts, public schools, and Bolsa Família. Pedro Menin assessed that an interview with Vorcaro to Globo could harm Lula and benefit Flávio. He called Vorcaro a criminal but also intelligent and speculated that he could blame members of the Workers' Party and say that Flávio's money was intended solely for a film. Menin also suggested that Vorcaro might align himself with the right to gain future advantages in trials. In Menin's view, supporting Lula would be a poor strategy among evangelicals, a group that, according to him, had a 70% rejection rate of the president—a percentage that could reach 90% after the leak of old tweets attributed to Ana Elisa, the PT's coordinator, about churches and believers. He stated that Vorcaro and his brother-in-law were pastors and speculated that they could turn to the church's power if their businesses did not succeed. Menin said that an attempt to prevent the interview could be seen as censorship and could lead to a 65 to 35 defeat for Lula in the second round. He also predicted that a victory for Flávio could initiate an impeachment process against Moraes and trigger a historic rise in the stock market in the following months. He noted that the text was merely a guess, that he had no non-public information, and that he could be very wrong. #Brasil #Política #Eleições2024 (translated)

Roque Citadini stated that the attempt to classify the failure of the Globo debate as a serious assault on the democratic state did not prosper. He said that the actions of the TSE and the STF were legal and reasonable and that, without judicial intervention, the event would have favored one candidate over another. Citadini attributed the failure to the withdrawal of Flávio Bolsonaro, who, according to him, avoided debating with a young and unpredictable candidate and preferred to speak without contestation. He suggested that Bolsonaro might have withdrawn because he remembered a municipal debate in which he fainted on stage. The author praised President Lula for participating in a long online conversation with a large audience and criticized Globo for entrusting its central event to a candidate, pointing out what he described as a historic laxity of the network. He stated that the failure did not compromise democracy nor had a dictatorial character and that the campaign revealed the profiles of the candidates, including what he said the withdrawal of Bolsonaro would have obscured. #Debate #Eleições #Democracia (translated)
Kleber Mendonça Filho wrote that what he called Globo's disaster had been a failed attempt at manipulation and propaganda presented as a democratic debate. He said that the episode would be studied for years and that it also exposed, in his evaluation, the cowardice of Flávio Bolsonaro and offered Lula a privileged stage on Flow. (translated)
