That would be a general trend that one would have to politically leverage in a "restructuring." One would have to position oneself both in terms of personnel and content, for example, broader at TeamFreiheit than before, but I would see that as a great opportunity. If the old party system is shaken up by such a new "Habeck party" from the center, then the cards will be reshuffled in a completely different way. The right-liberal-conservative flank would be wide open. It would make a big difference whether an old, crusty party system is broken open from the political center or from its political edges. This creates completely different opportunities for the political landscape. The AfD would also have to very quickly politically show its colors in many areas because it would no longer represent the only "alternative" to the existing party system that could mobilize the "dissatisfied," "protesters," and "non-voters." A new political force suddenly gets a chance where many voters find the AfD's positions too radical, but vote for them for various reasons because there is no real political alternative, and voting for "old parties" is no longer an option for them. I would personally welcome such a new "Habeck & Co." party because it would break and renew the old party system from the center, even though it would not be my party politically. A politically new force like the one I described as a right-liberal conservative counterweight, I would not only vote for but would even actively engage. A political renewal is urgently needed in Germany for many reasons. A large part of the population no longer trusts that either the Union, the SPD, or even the Greens in their current form are capable of doing so. - They are politically burned out, and each additional election makes that clearer every time. Whether one feels politically better represented by a left-green-liberal or a right-conservatively liberal new political force, we should not leave this renewal to the political edges.
