Saara Huhtasaari claimed that Yle had misled viewers and said that the media did not challenge the claims because it, according to her, belonged to the same pool and spread the same propaganda. She stated that Penttilä had said the day before on A-studio that the prices of gasoline and diesel were the highest they had ever been. Citing data from AAA and EIA, Huhtasaari wrote that gasoline now cost about $3.82 per gallon in Texas, while in California the price had risen to over $6.40 during Biden's term in 2022. She reported the U.S. average price for diesel now at about $6.27 per gallon, with a national peak in 2022 of $5.81; in California, the price had reportedly risen to around $6.92. According to Huhtasaari, the claim of record-high prices was therefore inaccurate, and she stated that the truth was a side issue for Yle. #agendamedia #yle #propaganda #politiikka (translated)
