(TR) Russia requested Kyrgyzstan not to use the word "colony" in history textbooks, as it supposedly creates "negative connotations" around Russia's role in the USSR. Russia does not understand that Kyrgyzstan is no longer its colony and cannot dictate history textbooks to it. However, the old colonial reflex remains.
