Janaina Paschoal wrote that she participated, the day before, in a meeting in downtown São Paulo with representatives from the City Council, the mayor, the governor, elected senators, and Flávio Bolsonaro. She described the place as filled with a hostile and aggressive atmosphere towards those who think differently. She said that this was the third time she had heard the candidate senator and that, after a significant vote in the first round, he seemed more at ease. She compared his speech to previous occasions: at an event in Alesp, he used his phone while giving his speech; at the launch of Tarcísio's candidacy, he appeared insecure in front of a gradually departing audience. According to Paschoal, at the meeting, Flávio Bolsonaro asked for support, made commitments—including not seeking re-election—and showed that he was prepared, in addition to having devoted half his life to politics. She reported that when asked by a journalist on her way out, she said that after the choices of the first round, she saw only one path in front of Lula, the PT, and what she called a known history: to vote for 22. Paschoal stated that she hopes Flávio Bolsonaro wins and that, above all, she hopes to consider him the best president the country has ever had. #FlávioBolsonaro #Política #Eleições (translated)

Jones Manoel claimed that his campaign for federal deputy in Pernambuco, number 5050, was already victorious. He said the launch had taken place just over a month earlier and that since then he had traveled across the state and met people willing to support the campaign. He also stated that he would present the results the following day and asked for votes. In presenting his journey, Manoel said he grew up in Borborema, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, the son of a Black woman who worked as a domestic worker and raised him alone. He reported that he worked from an early age as a newspaper seller, construction helper, office boy, and school janitor. He stated that he learned about hunger, poverty, and humiliation while living in the Borborema Favela and came to understand them as the result of political choices and a society that, according to him, needed to be transformed. He also said he was the first in his family and community to reach higher education and that, with Professor Júlio, he created a popular preparatory course in the region. The publication was identified as electoral propaganda of the PSOL/REDE Federation. #Eleições2023 #Pernambuco #CampanhaEleitoral (translated)
